The Great Medical Saint (Matthew) novel Chapter 1077

Matthew left the laboratory and saw Sonny walking over with a smile.

After seeing Sonny bald so often, Matthew found it creepy when Sonny wore a wig and grinned. He found it amusing but held back his laughter.

He fought the urge to laugh and asked, "Why are you still here?"

Sonny sported a fawning smile and inquired, "Why didn't Professor Bolton kick you out, Mr. Grant?"

Matthew didn't expect Sonny to stick around because of this. Smiling, he replied, "I've no idea."

Sonny dropped the smile, confusion written all over his face. "I don't get it. This doesn't add up. She kicked me out but not you. What did I do wrong?"

Matthew was curious about what Sonny said to Emily. "What were you guys chatting about?"

Sonny solemnly stated, "I told her I love her!"

Matthew's eyes went wide open. Sonny was way too bold. He actually confessed so openly.

Sonny left it at that and stayed quiet. Matthew couldn't help but pry further. "How did Professor Bolton respond?"

Sonny dejectedly replied, "She asked me to get lost."

Matthew nearly burst out laughing. So this was what happened when old scientists battled out in love, huh? The male scientist went so blunt as to say "I love you". Meanwhile, the female scientist harshly told him to scram.

Sonny sighed and asked Matthew, "What did you talk about with her? Why didn't she kick you out?"

Matthew replied with a smile, "I consulted her about the research on traditional medicine."

Upon answering the question, Matthew suddenly realized Sonny had taken the wrong approach.

Emily was all about research, but Sonny skipped all that and just confessed. He was bound to fail.

The more Matthew thought about it, the clearer it became why Sonny got thrown out. Seeing Sonny looking all down, he decided to give him a little advice.

"You're doing it wrong, Professor Brewer. You should talk to Professor Bolton about research. That's the stuff she's into."
