The Breaking Point of Love novel Chapter 544

Once Celeste got into the car, Jordyn immediately leaned into her arms.

Trevor turned his head slightly from the driver's seat. "Do you have any plans later?"

Before Celeste could answer, Jordyn looked up from her lap and said, "Yeah, Mom! If you're free after lunch, can we go have fun somewhere?"

"I—"

Celeste had just opened her mouth when Jordyn cut her off, tugging on her sleeve and whining softly, "Please, Mom, say yes, please?"

Celeste paused for a few seconds. "...Alright."

Half an hour later, they arrived at the restaurant.

As soon as they stepped inside, they unexpectedly ran into Lilian and Erin.

Both women froze the moment they saw the three of them together.

"Trevor," they called out first.

Trevor gave a polite nod in response.

Celeste glanced at them once, then looked away and kept walking without slowing down.

Jordyn didn't recognize either of them. She was used to people greeting her father in public, so she didn't think much of it and simply followed her mother forward.

Lilian and Erin didn't pay Celeste or Jordyn much attention either. They were about to speak again when Jordyn turned around and called out, "Dad, hurry up!"

Trevor smiled faintly. "Alright."

After that, he gave Lilian and Erin another polite nod before turning to leave with his family.

The two women stood there for a moment, caught off guard. Before they could react, the friends they were meeting arrived.

"Sorry to keep you waiting," the newcomers said.

"It's fine, we just got here too. The private room's ready. Shall we go up?"

Lilian and Erin smiled as if nothing had happened, chatting lightly as they followed their guests upstairs.

And yet, the three of them got into the same car together.

And that quiet, familiar gentleness in his movements toward Celeste was nothing like before.

At that realization, both women suddenly remembered something.

The divorce decision period between Trevor and Celeste had already ended. But he hadn't gone through with the paperwork.

They hadn't thought twice about it before.

Now, though—

They also recalled how, lately, Trevor had barely been in contact with them, and even Wynn hadn't had many chances to see him.

They'd assumed he was just busy with work.

But now...

Their friend, noticing their distracted stares, asked curiously, "Do you know them? Who are they?"
