Jorge and Xavier had just arrived at the banquet. And they happened to witness the distant way Trevor and Celeste treated each other just moments earlier.

Xavier couldn't help commenting in a low voice, "Celeste is so outstanding, yet Trevor refuses to turn back even after hitting a dead end. I knew he treated Ms. Locket pretty well, but only now am I realizing just how devoted he is when it comes to love. You'd never have guessed!"

Jorge remained silent.

He didn't find it surprising that Trevor had no romantic feelings for Celeste despite how outstanding she was. But even with Wynn and her family having such serious problems with their character and morals, Trevor still remained devoted to Wynn.

To Jorge, principles and morality were deal breakers.

Perhaps he had simply never truly been in love himself. So, he genuinely struggled to understand Trevor's feelings for Wynn.

Xavier continued, "They still haven't divorced, have they? From what Caleb said, they've been separated for over a year now, haven't they? How long is it going to take before they officially divorce? If they keep dragging this out, how long will Caleb have to wait?"

Jorge paused at that. "From the last time I saw them, I got the impression that she wasn't interested in Caleb that way. Even if she gets divorced, Caleb might not necessarily have a chance with her."

From their last meeting at the small gathering at the Jennings' residence after Philip's banquet, they had met up with Zachary and the others.

Caleb had made his feelings fairly obvious then, but Celeste had done her best to avoid him.

Caleb himself had admitted that Celeste wasn't interested in him. Now that Jorge was saying the same thing, Xavier still found it hard to believe.

"Really? Celeste genuinely has no feelings for Caleb at all? But considering how much Caleb cares about her, he doesn't seem like the type to give up easily. So, what's he going to do?"

Jorge looked towards Celeste, who was standing some distance away. "That's up to Caleb. Whether he persists or gives up is his decision. There's no point in us worrying about it."
