Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1745

They pulled up to the side entrance of Henry’s preschool just as school let out. The classroom was a riot of giggles and chatter when Henry’s smartwatch chimed.

While the other kids queued up for the bathroom, Henry broke away, bouncing over to the fence with unstoppable excitement. Even from a distance, his bright laughter carried: “Mommy! Your little guy is here!”

Mia grinned, phone in hand, recording her energetic son as he bounded towards her.

Over at his office, Andre watched the video Mia sent and couldn’t help but smile. Their little rascal never seemed to run out of steam.

Reaching the fence, Henry spotted the snacks in Mia’s hands. Up on tiptoe, he hugged the bars, mouth wide open. “Ahh, Mommy, let your baby have a bite!”

Mia slipped a pancake through the gap. “Here you go, take the first bite.”

Henry grabbed it in both hands and chomped right in. Next, he eyed the bubble tea Mia brought along, but the cup was way too wide for the fence. Mia poked the straw through the gap instead, and her little foodie sipped happily.

With her other arm, Mia reached in and stroked Henry’s hand and arm, checking, “Are you cold today?”

Henry shook his head, cheeks full. “Nope! Daddy made sure my teacher put my jacket on this morning.”

Earlier that day, Mia had lost a bet and, as agreed, father and son drove her to work before heading to school.

When Andre dropped Henry off, he’d told the teacher, “After his nap, make sure he puts his jacket back on. He’s always running around. Even if he’s sweaty, don’t take off his clothes.”

The teacher took Henry and nodded—whatever Andre said, she’d follow.

So after nap time, even though Henry kicked up a fuss, the teacher coaxed him (with a bit of force) into his jacket.

Henry took a big bite and, with a mouthful, announced proudly, “My mommy brought it for her little egg!”

The other kids looked on with envy—Henry’s mom would show up anytime with snacks.

Since he’d filled up on his pancake, Henry barely touched his dinner that night.

When Mia and Andre picked him up, the teacher mentioned, “Henry didn’t eat much at supper.”

Andre scooped Henry up and gave his belly a gentle rub. “Didn’t eat much, huh? But I bet there’s still plenty of good stuff in that tummy.”

Back in the car, Mia gave Henry’s little bottom a playful smack. “That pancake was supposed to be for both of us, you know! The more I called you, the faster you ran. Don’t you think you deserve a little tickle for that?”
