Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1897

After exchanging the usual pleasantries over the phone, Janice shot Anya a knowing look and finalized the meeting time with Mr. Vance. Finishing her honey tea, she stood up. "Anya, book a private room for me at the tea house, but don't come with me this time."

"Oh, okay," Anya replied, quickly hurrying off to make the reservation. Janice headed out to meet Mr. Vance alone.

Mr. Vance was a middle-aged businessman who had gone through a divorce a couple of years prior, securing a highly favorable outcome for himself.

Janice wanted to pick his brain about his legal strategy.

The moment they met, Mr. Vance craned his neck, looking behind her. "You didn't bring your little assistant today?"

He had met Anya twice before, and the young, gorgeous recent graduate had instantly caught his sleazy attention.

The first time, he had tried to get her number by sending his own assistant over under the guise of networking. Fortunately, Anya had the foresight to give out a dedicated work number.

The second time, Mr. Vance had insisted on making toasts, clearly trying to get Anya drunk.

Janice had intercepted the drinks. "Anya shouldn't drink. She needs to drive me home later."

"Come on, Janice, just hire a designated driver and give them some business," he had pushed.

Janice had replied with a polite but firm smile, "Two women alone with a strange driver? My husband wouldn't like that, and Anya's boyfriend certainly wouldn't allow it."

Since then, Janice had deliberately left Anya behind for these kinds of meetings. Today was no exception.

Despite his disappointment, their business relationship held strong. When Janice asked about his divorce, Mr. Vance called a few contacts and recommended a handful of top-tier attorneys.

As she prepared to leave, Janice expressed her deep gratitude and offered to buy him dinner soon.
