Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1695

Hansen was on the phone with his oldest son. “You really ought to take a page from your brother’s book. Andre came home just to drag Henry out and buy flowers for Mia. If you dare show up empty-handed, don’t call yourself my son.”

Bruce grumbled, “Dad, Naomi and I have been together forever. Do we still have to do all this? Instead of spending money on flowers, I’d rather take Naomi out to eat.”

Hansen shot right back, “Eat, eat, eat—that’s all you think about. Sure, Mia loves to eat, but did Andre say he was taking her out for dinner? Is the food at our house not good enough for you?”

Henry was eavesdropping by Grandpa’s side, then dashed into the living room and tugged on his mom’s sleeve. “Mom, Grandpa says you love to eat. He called you a little pig.”

Mia blinked. “...What?”

Andre pinched the bridge of his nose, stood up, and towed his little troublemaker into the study for a proper talking-to.

Even as the door closed, you could still hear Andre lecturing, “Your mom’s finally stopped making trouble for me, now you’re taking over, huh?”

Molly burst in, waving her flowers. “Mia, look at these! Bet you don’t have anything like this.”

She walked into the living room and spotted the massive bouquet on the coffee table. “Whoa, who brought that?”

“My husband and my kid.”

“Father and son, same taste, huh?” Jade stared at the explosion of colors in disbelief. “What’s this purple one?”

“No clue. My son picked it.”

Molly held up her own flowers for comparison. “My Chad’s got the best taste. White roses and red roses together—his dream girl and his one true love, both me.” Jade couldn’t resist showing off.

Bruce came home with flowers, making Naomi blush. She barely had a chance to admire them before their two kids rushed over to inspect. “Big brother sure is romantic, huh?”

Wayne woke up from his nap, confused by all the flowers everywhere. For a second, he wondered if his family had opened a flower shop while he was sleeping.

Eight o’clock rolled around. The date was over.

Milka shut her mouth and just listened to Mars muttering and complaining. All those heartfelt speeches he’d planned? Never got a chance.

When they pulled up at the community gate, Milka grabbed her flowers and started to get out, but Mars reached over, hooked an arm around her neck, and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. “Go on, then.”

“Ugh, Mars! You’re the worst!”

Jupiter glanced out and saw his daughter coming home with Mars, arms full of roses. The two of them looked just like newlyweds coming home from a date, and honestly, he couldn’t stand to watch.

With a sigh, he headed upstairs.

“Hey, sir, where you going?” Mars called after him.

“Go home already,” Milka said, shoving Mars away and hurrying him off.
