Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1639

Henry looked up, his lips jutting out as he complained, “Daddy, the nanny isn’t teaching me anything. She ran away~”

Mars melted on the spot. He grinned and waved. “No worries, Daddy’s got you covered.”

Half an hour later, Mars pushed himself up and turned to Andre. “Hey, any chance we can get the preschool to open two months early?”

It had barely been a week since summer break started, and Mars was already plotting to ship his godson off to school.

As Mars got ready to leave, Andre tossed him a set of car keys. “Take a car from the garage. What’s with the bike? Trying to win a sympathy prize?”

Mars just tossed the keys right back. “No thanks. Riding a bike keeps me fit.”

The two of them lobbed the keys back and forth in perfect arcs, each catching them without missing a beat. Henry watched, eyes wide, his little head swiveling from side to side. He glanced down at his water bottle. “Daddy, catch~” He gave it a toss.

Thunk. The bottle landed on the floor and rolled right to Andre’s slippered feet.

Father and son locked eyes…

Andre’s breathing got a little heavier. Mars could tell things were about to go downhill. “Uh, kiddo, let’s get outta here. Come with Daddy.”

But Mars hadn’t brought the car, and there was no way his bicycle could haul Henry, so he had to leave the little guy behind and pedal off by himself.

That didn’t stop him from blowing through a wad of cash that afternoon, but Mars had the time of his life cycling around.

Sometimes, he’d call Milka just for an excuse. “Hey, where are you? Come pick up the car for me, will you?”

After she came to get the car, he’d rope her into grabbing dinner. Dinner led to dropping her off at home, and the next morning, Mars would park the car in front of her place again.

He’d watch her go off to work, then wander in to have breakfast with Jupiter.

Mia’s days were either spent getting dragged out shopping by her son or “forced” into study sessions.

Thanks to Henry’s relentless efforts, she’d already finished all of the bar exam multiple choice questions.

Annie would be at work and, the moment another photo landed in the chat, she’d pipe up: “Conner! Where did you take Lizzy this time?”

Every time their daughter was peacefully napping in her crib, her dad’s itchy hands would whisk her away, leaving no clue where she’d gone.

Maja finally got a chance to visit Lizzy, only to find the crib empty time after time.

She’d ask Annie, “Where’s the baby?”

Annie would get flustered and call right away. “Conner, where’d you take the baby? My sister came to see her and she’s not even home!”

Basically, Lizzy was her dad’s favorite accessory.

She’d fall asleep in one room and wake up in another.

Annie’s boss, knowing she was a new mom with a baby under a year old, would often tell her, “Annie, once you’re done, head home. Your little one’s waiting for you.”
