After checking the caller ID, Renee answered the call, her voice breaking. “He…hello…”

“What’s wrong with you?” Marcelo asked with concern. He had immediately noticed there was something wrong with her voice.

“I caught a cold,” Renee replied. She’d just taken the cold medicine, and now she was very sleepy. She just wanted to end the call as soon as possible and go to sleep.
