That guy did “put so much effort“.
Not every man would stay at a girl’s house for a month.
And the idea of sending underwear was even more absurd!
Then, Marcelo noticed something on Renee’s screen with a bold heading.

“This season, it’s a professional variety show about fashion, and I’ve decided to go for it,” Renee shared.
The show was quite specialized, missing the mass appeal of mainstream entertainment or romantic reality shows. Its influence on everyday life seemed minor.
Charlie, one of the show’s supervisors this season, had a favor returned by Renee Given that Bellbanks University was also backing the show, Renee felt a sense of duty to join.
“A live show?”
“It means everything the camera sees is shown on TV right away.”
Marcelo’s expression turned serious upon hearing her. “Renee, do you really think I don’t understand what ‘live ‘ means?”
He wondered if she really thought of him as that out of touch.
Renee laughed nervously. “Of course not. If you didn’t know about T*****r before, it would make sense you wouldn’t know about live broadcasts either, right?”
Marcelo gave a disbelieving snort, clearly not convinced by her explanation.
He was pondering over the term “live” and the unpredictable nature of such broadcasts…
“The production team wants to start with home footage. I’m thinking of using my apartment for it.” This part would be recorded in advance as part of the introduction.
“This is your home.” He rejected the idea immediately.
“They’ll be bringing a lot of people, with four cameras for different angles. Are you really okay with letting them into your place?”
“Can’t this place handle that many people?”
“Yes, it can.”
Renee looked at him doubtfully.
Marcelo was usually very protective of his space, but now he was okay with letting others in?

Renee had originally planned to have Sarah try the Michelin chef’s special dishes at the main house, but Marvin’s interruption ruined everything.
The opportunity was lost.
Sarah ended up getting instant noodles from a convenience store and went back home.
Ding–dong!
The elevator doors opened.
And there stood the tall figure of Marvin at her door.
“Marvin, how did you…?”
Sarah was shocked. He had gotten to her door even before she had.
This was unbelievable!
“Sarah, I brought you clothes and you didn’t even thank me?”
Marvin appeared to be looking for a way to justify why he had cornered her, trying to make his reasons sound logical.
“Thank you for what?” Sarah snapped back, clearly irritated. “If you were really interested in returning it, why pick today of all days? And why bring it to Renee’s place? Aren’t you a busy man with people to do these errands? Ever heard of a delivery service?”
“Why are you so bothered, Sarah?” Marvin asked, keeping his cool.
He had intentionally made a point of showing up in front of her friend, alerting Renee.
“Get out of my way. You’re blocking my door!” Sarah insisted.
But Marvin didn’t move an inch.
“If you don’t step aside, I’ll call security!”
Marvin let out a small laugh. “The guards here think I’m your fiancé. They’re not likely to step in.‘
“Do you have no shame, Marvin?” Sarah was taken aback by his audacity.
How had she not seen that the oldest son of the Hill family was so shameless?
Just as Marvin was about to reply, he caught sight of the instant noodles in her grasp and scowled.
“You’re eating this for dinner?”
“Yep, I don’t have a fancy meal waiting for you, so you might as well leave!”
Marvin moved to let Sarah use her fingerprint to unlock her door.
Upon entering, he trailed just behind her.

Cutting off her attempt to object, Marvin declared, “Sarah, I remember the door’s code. You can’t shut me out.”
Annoyed, Sarah clenched her teeth.
It was a big mistake!
She resolved to change the code right away!
Marvin, having spent a month here before, knew his way around perfectly.
He opened the shoe cabinet and saw his slippers were still there.
He gave her a playful look.
“Why are you staring? I just didn’t bother to throw them out! They’re here in case I have guests.”
Sarah couldn’t figure out why she hadn’t thrown away his slippers.
It almost felt like…She was keeping the hope alive that he might come back any time.
It was to stop the place from feeling so empty.
Marvin stepped into his slippers and walked a few steps before pausing and looking back.
Sarah had just shut the door and was turning around when Marvin trapped her against it.
He no longer seemed timid, but rather, he was quite intimidating.
“Sarah, if I find another man trying to take my place, I’ll make sure he regrets it by breaking his legs!” he said with a surprising gentleness.
After saying this, he headed into the kitchen, leaving Sarah to let out a relieved breath a few moments later.
She guessed this was typical behavior for Marvin, feeling as if she was a deer caught in the sights of a wolf, utterly powerless.
“Don’t you ever cook for yourself?” In the fridge, Marvin discovered only a box of eggs, some yogurt, and a few pre–packaged fruit servings.
The fruit was already sliced, the yogurt was the kind you could drink straight from the container, and the eggs were ready to be cooked without any prep.
Everything was set up for ease.
Sarah, having been pampered since she was young, didn’t see the need to cook, even though she had no maid to help her.
Nevertheless, her ability to cook was actually quite impressive.
The first time Marvin showed up needing care, pretending to be in a weak state, she had cooked soup for him.
She had cooked soup for him four times, each time with a different flavor and food ingredients. These four bowls of soup had one thing in common. They were all so delicious and nutritious that Marvin even doubted

whether Sarah was a professional chef.
However, once she caught on to him being in better health than he let on, she stopped offering such kindness. “I have this.” Sarah waved around her packet of instant noodles, unenthusiastic about cooking for herself.
