Rewrite Her Thrilling Life (Lillian and Sebastian) novel Chapter 875

Lilian leaned back against her chair and rubbed her temples. "No need. Go back to your work for now, and make sure no one else hears a word of this."

Wayne nodded. "Understood. I’ll take my leave then. But as for those headlines, I really think you should talk to Mr. Whitmore. It's rare to find someone who loves you that much in this lifetime; don't let a misunderstanding drive a wedge between you."

"I know," Lilian replied with a nod. "Don't worry, I’m not the kind of woman who lets her emotions override her brain."

"Good. Then I'll be on my way." Wayne turned and left the office.

Lilian remained in her seat, staring blankly at the glass ceiling of the office. She was certain Sebastian must be facing a major crisis for him to allow news like this to break. Otherwise, the Cary estate wouldn't have the audacity to fabricate such a story. Furthermore, the question of why he was being linked specifically to Everly nagged at her.

Had something happened that was so far beyond his control that he was forced into this? A barrage of questions swirled in her mind.

If Wayne knew about it, the news had likely blanketed all of Murica. If that was the case, did her grandfather know something as well? The Philips family was rooted in Murica; it was impossible for him to be unaware of such a massive development. And if he did know, why had he kept her in the dark?

What were they hiding? Why couldn't she be told? A splitting headache took hold as the sense of being lost in a thick, endless fog settled over her—a sensation she absolutely loathed.

She decided she needed to visit the Philips villa immediately. She grabbed her bag and headed out.
