"Is that so?" Sebastian said, his gaze freezing. "In that case, let’s wait and see if that is indeed our fate. If you have nothing else to say, Miss Roberts, please leave."
Everly looked at his cold, shadowed eyes one last time before turning and walking away.
Once the office door was sealed shut, Sebastian stood up and walked back to his desk. He picked up his phone and checked it, but there were no messages. Had I guessed wrong?
A knock sounded, and Foster entered, bowing respectfully. "I’ve looked into it. Everly threatened the receptionists, claiming she was the future lady of Austine Financial Group to force her way in. Because of the recent news surrounding the two of you, the staff assumed she was indeed your future wife and didn't dare stop her."
Sebastian tossed the phone back onto the desk. He looked at Foster, his aura radiating a bone-chilling cold. "You know the company’s rules and regulations. I shouldn't have to tell you how to handle this breach."
"Yes, sir. I understand," Foster replied.
"What is the progress on Unno’s end?" Sebastian asked, his voice low. He had no patience left. Every time he thought of that old fox Cary, he felt a visceral urge to tear him apart.
