Chapter 830 Saving Leonard
The process continued for over an hour.
Suddenly, Blue exclaimed with delight, “It’s working! It’s working! Leonard’s aura is beginning to stabilize!”
Lillian looked toward Leonard immediately. The old man’s complexion was no longer deathly pale, and his chest was rising and falling with shallow, rhythmic breaths. Relieved, she began to retract the silver needles.
“Why are you taking them out?” Blue asked, confused.
“Master’s body is too frail,” Lillian explained, her voice low. “He cannot handle such a concentrated influx of spiritual energy all at once. The Mulberry Fire–Fly grass is doing its job, but given his current state, the healing process will be incredibly slow. We have to take it one step at a time. If I rush this, I’m afraid it will trigger other complications.”
Blue nodded thoughtfully. “So, you’re saying we don’t know exactly when he’ll wake up?”
Lillian nodded. “That’s the situation for now. But it doesn’t matter. As long as he’s alive, I’m satisfied. As long as there is breath in his body, I will make sure he opens his eyes again.”
“Don’t worry,” Blue said comfortingly. “The spiritual energy in this space will nourish his body. I’m sure he’ll recover quickly. I’ll keep an eye on him for you every day.”
“And me too! Me too!” the little fox added, hopping around eagerly.
Lillian looked at the two of them, a faint sense of comfort washing over her. “Thank you.”
Outside the space, Sebastian stood silently in the middle of the operating theater. He knew that since she had vanished from this spot, she would inevitably reappear here. He simply had to wait.
As he stared at the empty surgical table, a flash of blue light suddenly illuminated the room. A silhouette flickered into existence before his eyes.
Surge of joy hit him. Sebastian stepped forward instantly and pulled the girl into a tight embrace. “You’re finally back.”
“I’m sorry for making you worry,” Lillian said, her voice raspy. “Did my sudden disappearance scare you?”
“No,” Sebastian murmured, his deep voice vibrating against her. “I knew you had gone to that secret place of yours. I was only afraid that your grief over Leonard would make you lose yourself.”

Lillian offered a tired, bitter smile. “How could I knew you were out here waiting for me. I wouldn’t leave you for long. I came back as soon as I made sure Master was settled.”
“How is he?” Sebastian asked gently.
Lillian let out a long breath of relief. “He’s stable. However, because his injuries were so severe–and because George had injected him with so many experimental drugs at the base -his system is incredibly compromised. He won’t wake up immediately; he’ll need quite some time to recover.”
Hearing this, the heavy weight on Sebastian’s heart finally lifted. “That’s fine. As long as he is alive, he will eventually wake up.”
“Yes… he will,” Lillian whispered, her voice fading. “Sebastian, I’m so tired. I just want to rest for a while.” Her eyes fluttered shut, and her body began to limp in his arms.
Sebastian caught her before she could fall, his heart aching at the sight of her exhausted face. “Sleep,” he whispered. “I’ve got you.”
