Renee picked up the sealed blue vial, a lazy smile on her face. “It is finished. Everything is ready. Now we just need the stage.”

Jane looked at the blue bottle skeptically. “Is this neurotoxin really going to cut it? I heard Lilian is some kind of prodigy. She neutralized everything your granduncle threw at her. If she does it again, all this was for nothing.”

Renee placed the vial into a cold storage box, her smile turning mocking. “This time, it won’t matter how good she is. Besides, it remains to be seen if she will even be alive to try.”

Jane leaned against a nearby table. “So what is the plan? The gala is days away. When do we move?”

“Are the people I asked for ready?” Renee asked coldly.

Jane gave an arrogant nod. “Of course. I brought in top-tier professionals from Radovia. The family won’t suspect a thing.”

Renee let out a cold laugh. “Perfect. Have them move out. Tonight, I want those people snatched. Once they are in my hands. Lilian will do exactly as she is told.”
