Gabriel’s voice was sharp. “That’s enough, Anastasia! What other filth are you going to throw at her?!”

Nora put on a wounded expression. “Anastasia! We have always treated you with a clear conscience! Why must you target us like this? Is it just because we’re not your real mother and sister that you feel you have to destroy us?!”

“Back in Fairhaven, you went around telling everyone I tried to harm you, and I let it go. But now you’re even claiming Queena is an illegitimate child. What will it take for you to leave us alone?”

Anastasia countered, “Whether or not Queena is Gabriel’s illegitimate daughter, and whether or not you were the other woman, can’t be proven with a simple paternity test at the hospital?”
