Susana paid no mind to Joshua’s crying. She shot a quick glance at Jensina and said, “Mrs. Hardwick, are you okay? The internet’s not reliable these days. Those photos could be fake. If you’re worried, just wait for Cole to come back and ask him in person.”

“Yeah. Jensina lifted the milk and started drinking slowly.

True or not, she saw it herself last night.

There’s nothing more to ask.

It was only then that Susana realized her eyes were really swollen.

After hesitating, Susana still went back to her room and called the Hardwick’s mansion.“Yes, Madam Hardwick. Mrs. Hardwick probably saw the news a long time ago. She didn’t come down for lunch, and her eyes were swollen from crying…”

The Hardwicks usually ignored entertainment news.

But when they heard this, they freaked out.

Coleman and Juanita were caught kissing at a bar!

They caused a huge scandal. Didn’t they care about their reputation?

Eliza took two heart pills quickly, but they didn’t help; she still fainted from shock.

The Hardwick’s mansion was a mess.

While everyone else was losing it, Jensina stayed calm.

She slowly finished her milk, eyes swollen, and went upstairs under Susana’s sympathetic stare.

Just as she closed the door, Gertrude called.

“I told you. It definitely wasn’t me.”

She defended herself, “Those photos’angles show they’re not mine.”

“I know.” Jensina walked into the bathroom, put her phone on speaker on the sink, and took the eye masks out of the mini fridge. “You wouldn’t have leaked it so quickly. You’d have tried to squeeze money out of Coleman first.”

Downstairs, Jensina had already looked into it.

Jensina had already checked downstairs. The scandal started last night but only blew up a couple hours ago.

The scandal’s spread seemed natural and organic.

Probably just a business enemy of Coleman’s behind this.

Gertrude laughed, “Come on, I’m a lawyer. I’m not in the business of squeezing money or blackmailing anyone.”

“Yeah, right.”

Jensina chuckled and joked, “This is a fair price for handling extramarital affair photos.”

“You really could make stuff up.”

Gertrude laughed and then looked puzzled.“But won’t revealing the beans mess up your plan? And what’s this grudge about?”

As she spoke, she joked, “Is this some wife–stealing revenge? Who’s after Juanita now?”

“No.”

Hearing this, Jensina shook her head and put on a facial mask. Her voice was a bit muffled. “No idea. Whatever it is, as long as it doesn’t affect me, it’s fine.”

If she exposed or questioned Coleman and Juanita’s relationship, it would show she didn’t understand her place or wasn’t sensible.

But now that it was exposed, it was different.

She was the victim.

In the evening, Susana made all her favorite dishes.

But Jensina didn’t feel well after the hangover, with no appetite and full from just a bit of pasta. She barely touched her food.

Susana comforted her, “Don’t be too upset. Madam Hardwick was so angry she ended up in the hospital. She’ll have your back. Mrs. Hardwick asked me to tell you to hang in there–she’ll visit once Madam Hardwick feels better.”

“Eliza was in the hospital?”

Jensina frowned, “Why didn’t anyone tell me?”

“Everyone feels they owe you…”

Susana was cleaning the table as she said, “And you’re so upset, so don’t worry about Madam Hardwick for now.”

Eliza was so upset that she ended up in the hospital?

Jensina was a bit confused.

It wasn’t like Eliza just found out about them, so what was she upset about?

Susana noticed her silence and thought she had a hard time expressing herself.

Marriage into a wealthy family often meant swallowing her pride and enduring hardships in silence..

Jensina saw Susana’s sympathetic look and didn’t explain anything.

She was still the second daughter–in–law of the Hardwick family.

Coleman’s cheating made the gossip news, and she felt she should be the most upset.

Jensina checked the time and got up.“I’ll go to the hospital to see Eliza.”

Just as she got to the entrance, the gate opened, and Coleman’s black Maybach pulled in.

She hadn’t changed shoes when Coleman strode in, looking serious.

Standing in front of her, he calmed down, his eyes filled with complex emotions.

“You’re back.”

Jensina stepped back and said softly, “Have you eaten? Susana made some food.”

“Jensina,” he interrupted, choosing his words carefully, his tone a bit uncertain, “things online aren’t what they seem. I can explain.”

Jensina simply said without hesitation, “Yeah, I believe you.”

Coleman froze.

He knew Jensina was obedient, but he expected a reaction to his cheating.

Before he came back, his friends warned him, “You’re in trouble. Even the nicest woman can’t put up with her husband cheating.”

But Jensina didn’t react at all.

No tears, no fuss.

It was strange.

Coleman felt uneasy with Jensina’s calm trust.

He thought, She doesn’t care.”

Jensina didn’t seem to mind his infidelity.

She didn’t care if he kissed another woman.

She showed no reaction, just stayed calm as always. She grabbed a jacket and said, “I’m going to the hospital to see Eliza.”

“Sina…” Coleman felt like things were drifting apart.

He impulsively held Jensina’s wrist and asked, “You’re not mad?”

Jensina was a little stunned.

She realized being the second daughter–in–law in the Hardwick family was tough.

She thought her calmness would reassure Coleman.

But Coleman wasn’t pleased.

He wanted her to be angry.

Coleman anxiously awaited her response, but she just looked calm.

She said slowly, “I’m angry. Will you really end things with Juanita?”

Coleman looked awkward but insisted, “Sina, there’s nothing between us. After the birthday, I’ll make her leave.”

“What about you?” Jensina asked.

Coleman frowned helplessly, “What are you thinking? Of course, I’ll still live here.”

He looked like he was trying to make a point and said seriously, “Jensina, I’m your husband.”

“Cole, Jensina just smiled lightly and said, “what I asked about was your heart.”

Coleman spaced out for a bit, and Jensina slipped her hand away and left.

Eliza was already asleep when she arrived at the hospital.

Jensina had no choice but to drive around aimlessly.

She felt homeless.
