Chapter 32
“Right.”

Fredric smiled and tried to smooth things over. He pointed at the brocade box on the table, “She was busy with work, so she left after dropping off the gift.”
Stanley’s eyes fell on the brocade box, and a ripple quietly passed through his eyes.
A farce was exposed without any real danger.
We all drank to our heart’s content in the second half.
Fredric was the main character today, and he kept a bit sober to see the guests off.
“About what happened today, give me the truth?”
He saw Stanley’s dark eyes calmly watching him when he came back to the room after sending off the second–to–last group of friends.
The voice was cold.
Fredric’s legs felt a bit weak as he walked over and sat down next to him, his head all fuzzy,“Stanley.”
“It was just girls being jealous of each other.”
“But if you still had some feelings for Sina deep down, still saw her as your sister, you should’ve told her to get a divorce sooner.”
“This kind of marriage was boring.”
This was something straight from the heart.
Fought over love?
Stanley snorted and said mockingly, “She was all over Coleman, no one could stop her.”
A trace of clarity flashed in Fredric’s bloodshot, alcohol–fogged eyes.
“Did you ever think, maybe she just had no choice but to pounce?”
Jensina was in the Herring family’s situation.
Maybe other people couldn’t tell, but the few brothers who were close could kind of see that Jensina wasn’t really one of the Herring family.
Let’s not talk about anything else.
That gossip online, Madam Herring kept saying how much she cared about Jensina, but in this matter, the Herring family never said anything from start to finish.
There wasn’t even a bit of maintenance.
If she really was their own granddaughter, with the Herring family’s status, wouldn’t it have caused a scene at the Hardwick family?
But the Herring family didn’t do that, not even a word.
How did Stanley answer this question again….
When Fredric sobered up, he stared at the bedroom ceiling. He forgot bits and pieces, racked his brains for a long time, and finally managed to piece most of it together.
Stanley seemed calm, but it also looked like some of the wine in his glass had spilled out.
The voice was calm like an old well, with a hint of sarcasm.
“It’s not like I didn’t give her a choice.”
“It was her who didn’t know her own worth.”
Fredric frowned.

I always felt like it wasn’t as simple as Stanley and Jensina just falling out.
There was something between these two.
But what kind of knot in my heart was it…
Forget it, forget it, this wasn’t something he could worry about.
He shuffled downstairs in his slippers to open yesterday’s birthday present.
Menu
The pen Jensina gave him was a custom–made one by a famous brand that he hadn’t been able to get even after waiting in line for a long time.
This girl had always been thoughtful, so it wasn’t for nothing that I always favored her.
He opened all the presents, but still didn’t find that pen!
He turned his head and asked the servant, “Where’s that blue brocade box I brought back yesterday?”
“Blue brocade box…”
The servant thought for a moment, “Never saw it.”
“How could that be?”
Fredric got up, grabbed his car keys, and got ready to go to Euphoria Club.
Eighty percent it fell in the private room.
The driver just came in from the backyard. After hearing what happened from the servant, he hurried out and said, “Young master, you blacked out from drinking yesterday, right? That brocade box, Mr. Herring took it.”
“He took it?”
“Yeah, he asked you, you didn’t say anything, Mr. Herring said you just agreed by default.”
Default what default.
He was dead drunk.
Fredric scratched his furry head. Even if you gave him ten times the guts, he still wouldn’t dare go ask Stanley to give it back.
When I was going upstairs, I thought of something and still made a call.
“Stanley, there was a safety charm Sina left in that brocade box yesterday, remember to give it back to her.”
“If you didn’t have time, I could go get it and return it too.”
At the top of the Herring Group, Stanley rubbed that “safety charm,” his tough, proud face clouded over.
This wasn’t any kind of safety charm.
What came out of Solace Church was always called a peach blossom charm.
“I’ll go return it.”
“Okay.”
Fredric let out a sigh of relief.
After listening to the whole thing, Enrique was stunned to see his dad open his wallet and carefully tuck the amulet into a compartment.
He was stunned.
Didn’t he say he’d give it back
to
the lady?
He didn’t even have time to show his shock when Zackary knocked and came in, holding a peach blossom charm that looked almost exactly the
same.

“Boss, Bridget just had someone send this over, said she went to get it yesterday morning, works great, told you to keep it close.”
Stanley rubbed his brow, “What else did he say?”
The phone next to me suddenly rang.

Over there, Bridget was all smiles, “You got the peach blossom charm, right? Let me tell you, no wonder everyone wants this charm, it really works. I had just asked for it, and right after, I heard that doctor lady got divorced.”
“She was single! Don’t look down on her just because she was divorced….*
“Grandma.”
Stanley cut her off without hesitation and said coolly, “This isn’t about whether you’re good enough.”
I wasn’t interested in divorced women.”
Jensina only realized the amulet Bridget gave her was missing the next day.
I even made a special trip to the clinic for this.
Thought it was dropped in the clinic.
Eduardo happened to walk past the exam room, saw the door open, looked inside, and was a bit surprised, “Sina, weren’t you off today?”
Jensina lifted her head from under the desk, “Yeah, I lost something, come help me look.”
Eduardo looked at her like that and couldn’t help laughing.
“Did you find it?”
“No.”
Jensina clapped her hands and stood up, “It must have fallen somewhere else.”
