Donovan was scared. He had never been this terrified of anything in his life. Just then, Wyatt wheeled himself into the room. His face was as pale as a sheet.
He looked at Donovan. "Donovan, do you believe what Noelle said?"
"Noelle wouldn't lie about something involving Mom and Dad." Donovan couldn't say he fully believed her either. But he knew Noelle wouldn't lie about their parents.
Still, he couldn't accept how she only exposed all of this today. Why couldn't she have told him sooner? He wouldn't have made so many wrong decisions if he had known earlier!
Wyatt pressed, "But don't you think it's strange? How could Noelle even investigate this after all these years?"
Frank looked at Wyatt. "Have you forgotten how close she is to Cedric, the heir of the Greene family?"
It might've been impossible for Noelle. But it would've been a lot easier to dig up the truth with Cedric backing her.
When Donovan heard that name, whatever hope he was clinging to was instantly crushed.
Right. With Cedric's power and influence, everything Noelle found might be true. Xenia's father was involved in the accident. Otherwise, why would he fake his death and hide all these years?
Wyatt's expression darkened. "Donovan, I just saw Noelle leave. You'd better follow her and see what she's doing. I don't believe her for a second."
Right now, Wyatt hated Noelle with a burning passion. She could have handled this privately. But instead, she had to humiliate him at the wedding. Now, everyone in their circle knew he had been cheated on. He was the butt of the joke!
Just thinking about it made his blood boil. He was convinced Noelle had lied about something.
Donovan took a deep breath. "You're right, Wyatt. She must be going to find that man. I need to follow her and see it with my own eyes."
