Now, Noelle was certain that Cedric had to be the man she'd seen yesterday. There was no way a stranger could appear out of nowhere with a back that looked so similar to his. He must have disguised himself somehow, which was why she hadn't recognized him back then.
She tore the note into tiny pieces and flushed it down the toilet.
Her original plan was pointless now that Cedric was already here. She'd planned to hide somewhere on the island, fake an escape, and throw Carl into chaos.
The commotion would force the contact to report something unusual to Cedric, but there was no need for that now that he already knew she was on the island.
If he were diving in from offshore, there was no way he could reach her on land. Unless… she got out to sea, and he met her in the water. That sounded like a plan that could work.
With a plan forming in her mind, she stepped out of the restroom and spotted guards still standing by. It seemed Carl hadn't let his guard down against her at all. She acted like she hadn't noticed a thing and headed back to the volleyball court.
The one who'd slipped her the note seemed to have been a lady, and she must be somewhere nearby, blending in with the crowd.
She turned to Frank and loudly announced, "I want to go diving tomorrow."
He looked taken aback. "B-But aren't you terrified of the ocean?"
"Even if I am, I need to get over it. How else am I supposed to see all the beautiful things underwater?"
She turned to the staff around them and asked, "Do you guys go diving or fishing when you're on a break?"
"Sometimes, yeah. We usually head to the port to rent gear since there's no equipment on this island."
"If you want to dive, Ms. Liddell, you should try the port. The coral's gorgeous out there during the day."
