Noelle looked over to Carl's phone curiously when he put up the photo. She really wanted to know what the scumbag she once fell in love with looked like.
When she saw the handsome man in the photo, however, she felt nothing in her heart. She just looked at the man in the photo without much of a reaction.
Noelle agreed that the man was good-looking and really looked like a member of the elite. It was no wonder that she fell for him, but she no longer liked him. Not even seeing his photo stirred any emotions in her after all.
Carl put away his phone and said, "How do you feel after seeing his photo?"
Noelle shook her head and replied, "Nothing, really. I guess it's because I don't love him anymore."
She could not possibly still have feelings for him after everything that scumbag had done to hurt her.
Carl was satisfied with her answer. He put away his phone and said, "That's good. I was worried that you'd still have feelings for him."
Noelle replied, "Carl, I'm not going to make the same mistakes again. That scumbag ruined my life. I'd have to be stupid to still have feelings for him."
She then turned to Frank and Lucas and continued, "What's wrong, you two? Why are you looking at me like that? Did I say something wrong?"
Frank gave her a strained smile. "No, nothing's wrong."
She then turned to Lucas and said, "Lucas, let's team up for a game. I'm really bored."
Lucas froze up on the spot. After everything that had happened, he had thought that Noelle would never call his name or play games with him ever again. He had never held any hope for it to happen either.
He never imagined that he would actually get to hear Noelle calling him to have fun together ever again.
