Carl asked, "Do you really think I won't do that?"

"Is there anything you wouldn't do at this point? Didn't you say that you wanted the family to be whole again?

Carl's expression turned grim as he grabbed Blake. "It is no fantasy. Everything's been coming true just as I said it would, haven't it? Just what are you not satisfied with?"

Blake shoved him away. "Are you done talking yet? I'm not agreeing to this, no matter what. Not this time."

Carl looked at Blake and replied, "I'm the only one who can keep the baby in Noelle's belly alive. And right now, she's not in the condition to handle any and all emotional distress.

"Giving her too much of a shock now will cause confusion. She might even end up brain-damaged."

Blake replied, "If her baby can't be saved, then so be it. She doesn't even know anyway."
