Carl looked past Noelle at Cedric behind her and said, "I'll be waiting for you to come begging."

Cedric saw his lips move and froze. Then, a thought immediately struck him—something was wrong with the drug. Just then, Noelle collapsed onto the floor. Her mind blanked, and she could see the sky but hear nothing.

Cedric caught her before she hit the deck and shouted, "Where's the drug! Where is it!"

"Don't bother. That drug doesn't work," Carl evenly replied.

Cedric's eyes flared with rage as he snarled. "Are you courting death?"

In that moment, he'd never felt the urge to kill someone as much as he did right now. But Carl said with a smile, "If you want her alive, you'll bring her to me. Otherwise, no one else can save her now."

"Over my dead body. I'll never let you touch her again," Cedric spat. With that, he carried Noelle back into the cabin.

"I'll be waiting for you to bring her to the island," Carl called out.

Inside, Cedric settled Noelle down in the cabin and barked orders. "Turn us around to the dock! Get the doctors ready!"

He'd had the doctors waiting ever since he'd found out something was wrong with Noelle's health.

As the yacht sped toward the port, Carl stood at the rail and watched it retreat. Slowly, he murmured, "You'll crawl your way back."

Donovan shifted uneasily beside him. "So, are you just going to leave it? Will something happen to her?"

"Everything's gonna be fine. Cedric won't let anything happen to her."

Just then, Blake picked up a gun and aimed it at Carl's chest. "Hand over the drug, now."
