No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 1454

Frank noticed and said, "Looks like you really do like beachcombing and diving, Noelle. You're in such a better mood now."

Noelle nodded. "It's way too boring here, and at least diving's interesting."

Carl glanced at his phone and said, "Looks like there'll be a current tonight, so it might not be safe to dive and beachcomb. Shall we just stay at the beach and collect some shells there?"

Noelle froze, knowing that would not work. She shot him a glare and snapped, "I asked the nannies last night and learned that the currents are always there. You're just making excuses to stop me from going, aren't you?"

"I'm just thinking about your safety."

"I'm done eating!" she announced as she slammed her utensils on the table.

Frank quickly grabbed her arm and chimed in, "Please stop. Carl was just joking."

Then, he turned to Carl and urged. "Right? Say something!"

So, Carl had no choice but to concede. "I was just saying. It's fine if you're not up for it."

Wyatt chimed in, "Let's just get more people to look over her."

"Alright, eat up. You'll need your strength for tonight."

Noelle then returned to her seat. Of course, she had to eat up. How else would she make her escape tonight?

That afternoon, she even took a long nap to build up her strength. When evening came and it was time to leave, she was wide awake and ready.

Carl and Frank were both on the yacht, and the former let out a yawn, clearly looking exhausted.

Frank said, "You've been pretty swamped these past few days, so maybe skip coming with us. What if you run out of strength?"
