Noelle knew that Salena and the other Cantrells were thinking that if Mia never woke up again, or even died, all of her assets would fall into their hands.

Salena was furious that Noelle was trying to get in her way. "Noelle, don't you realize that what you're doing is illegal? I won't be letting you get away with it today."

If it were not for Noelle, Mia would not have become such a rebellious child.

Soon, a man dressed like a lawyer walked over, looked directly at Noelle, and said, "Ms. Liddell, what you're doing right now is indeed illegal. I understand that you have a close relationship with Ms. Mia, but Mrs. Cantrell has already found a hospital capable of treating her. You shouldn't be trying to stop Mrs. Cantrell."

"How could she possibly find somewhere that could treat Mia better? She's just trying to use this opportunity to take control of Mia once more. Something like this has happened before. As Mia's lawyer, are you really not aware of that?!"

Noelle wondered if the lawyer had something wrong with his head.

She heard that he was Mia's personal lawyer that was assigned to her by her father.

But it would seem that the lawyer was not a reliable person at all.

The lawyer adjusted his glasses and replied sternly, "Ms. Liddell, from a legal perspective, you have no right to stop the Cantrell family from taking Ms. Mia away. If you insist on getting in the way, I'll have no choice but to alert the police."

Salena chimed in haughtily, "Noelle, I'm the only person who has the authority to sign Mia's critical illness waiver. None of you have the right to sign anything on Mia's behalf. I'm the only one there is that is acting in her best interest. The rest of you will only end up harming her."

She straightened her clothes and continued, "Noelle, I'll have to call the police if you're still going to stand in my way. You'd better be ready for the consequences if things get out of hand. I'm sure you wouldn't want Maple Enterprise to end up viral for the wrong reasons once more."

The lawyer pulled out some documents and said, "Ms. Liddell, I'm Ms. Mia's personal lawyer, Cyrus Mayall. Ms. Mia once signed this document, stating that if she is unconscious and is unable to make any decisions of her own, I will be given authority to handle all matters of her life on her behalf, which includes her medical treatment as well as the management of her assets."

Noelle took the document from Cyrus and glanced through it quickly. She found Mia's signature on the document, and the handwriting really looked like Mia's.

Noelle did not expect Mia to actually sign something like this. She felt extremely displeased at that moment.
