"Where's Eason?" Alice grabbed Miles' wrist and pointed at the empty bed opposite her. He did not feel that she was acting like a mother who had lost her child.
Miles' body stiffened. He desperately resisted the urge to hug the woman in front of him and tried his best to remain calm. He said, "It is fine, Eason is in another ward. I come over to see if you're awake."
Only then did Alice realize that she was grabbing Miles' hand tightly. She couldn't help but blush and suddenly let go of his hand and said, "Sorry, I was a little excited just now."
Miles looked at her red ears exposed outside and he had the urge to bite her. However, in the end, he quietly moved his gaze away and brought Alice to the other ward.
Alice opened the door. Eric, on the edge of the bed, was whispering something to Eason, making him giggle. Seeing Alice coming, Eason immediately shrunk his small mouth and wanted to hug her.
Alice's heart ached as she hugged Eason, and her heart ached so much that he almost pulled it up.
"Dad," Eric called his father, Miles touched the child's soft hair, squatted down and said, "It's been hard for you to take care of Eric, and you're great!"
Eric was embarrassed. He pursed his lips and smiled, as if he had received a great compliment.
After the infusion, Eason's fever also disappeared. Eason was unwilling to stay in the hospital, so Miles finished the discharge procedures and brought them home.
I don't know if it's because of sickness, Eason is sticking to Alice more than usual. He insists that Alice stay to sleep with him. Alice sees that he is crying that her heart aches. After getting Miles' consent, she called William to tell him where she stays.
In the evening, Alice finished bathing Eason and she was about to go downstairs to bring milk to Eason when she saw that the door of the next room was open. She saw Miles sitting by the bed and tidying up the clothes he had taken out of the wardrobe one by one.
He took out the clothes in the wardrobe one by one, folded them, and left behind a set of pajamas, as if the husband was preparing pajamas for his bathed wife.
Miles noticed her and waved his hand at her. Her divine messenger walked in and saw Miles put the folded clothes in her hand. His voice was gentle enough to drip water.
"Go to take a shower."
Alice was just about to say something when she saw Miles in the warm light. His eyes were like a deep pond. Alice fell into his eyes.
By the time she regained her senses, she was already very close to Miles. His eyelashes were right in front of her, like a feather, gently and carefully brushing through her heart, causing her heart trembling.
She suddenly widened the distance between the two of them, but because of the momentum of her body, she was about to fall.
Miles laughed and grabbed her as if nothing had happened. He patted her on the back and asked her to take a bath.
Alice's face flushed red as she fled with her clothes in arms.
The bathroom was filled with steam, and some hot water poured down on her body, causing her face to blush for a long time without dissipating.
She poured hot water on her randomly, and her heart felt as if it was in a mess.
Why is Mr. Wilson's smile so beautiful? Was he going to kiss her just now?
Alice covered her face, her shyness rising and she quickly climbed onto her body.
But wouldn't that be too bad? Mr. Wilson is so affectionate towards his wife, but he wants to make sauce with Mr. Wilson. Alice, you are really shameful.
After taking a bath, Eason was lying on the bed, his eyes shining brightly as he looked at her.
He touched his little face, which was a little serious. He bent down and said, "What's wrong? Are you afraid of Eason kicking the quilt at night?"
Eric and shaking his head, Miles let him make his bed.
"Dad, do you want Auntie Alice to be our mother?" Eric asked.
Miles stopped making the bed, looked at him with surprise, and then said, "How did you come to this conclusion?"
"Daddy looks at Auntie Alice differently." Eric said as if he was an adult.
Only now did Miles stop making the bed. His eyes narrowed as he looked at Eric, "You are much smarter than stupid Eason."
Eason lowered his head embarrassingly, with his small mouth muttering words like "Eason is not stupid at all".
Then he heard Miles say, "Then, my Eric, do you want Auntie Alice to be your mother?"
Miles stood in front of Eric. This was the first time he had taken the child seriously.
Eric was very smart, and he was willing to communicate with him in the way of adults.
Eason said, "But she is our stepmother, I'm afraid that she would be bad to us."
"She's your biological mother." Miles said as he looked at him.
