Chapter 671
Naomi stumbled back against the wall, gasping for breath, able only to stare with wide eyes.
The man who had slapped her seized her again, yanking her close as a shield. “Don’t come any closer!”
Liu looked at him without blinking. “Let her go.”
“Or what?”
Liu moved so fast Naomi barely saw it.
In one stride, he was already there. His hand knocked the man’s arm aside, his left elbow drove hard into the man’s stomach, then a low kick swept his legs out from under him. The thug hit the floor with a brutal crash.
Naomi was released and nearly collapsed, but Liu caught her by the shoulders just in time.
“Miss Naomi, get into the car,” he said shortly.
“B-but-”
“Now.”
The two remaining thugs saw the situation turn against them. They exchanged a quick glance, then bolted out of the building toward the dark alley beside the apartment complex. Two of the bodyguards took off after them without hesitation.
“Go after them. Make sure they don’t come back,” Liu ordered.
Naomi was shaking violently now. Her knees could no longer support her weight. Liu guided her outside to the black sedan parked in front. The rear door was opened, and the moment she sank into the soft leather seat, the last of her composure shattered.
She broke into sobs.
Not the kind of crying someone tries to hide, but raw, panicked sobs she had been forcing down since the attack began. Her shoulders trembled, her breathing came in ragged bursts, both hands covering her face.
Even through the tears, the marks of what had happened were impossible to miss.
Her wrists were red, finger-shaped bruises already rising against her pale skin. One side of her lip was split from the struggle, stinging every time she drew too deep a breath. Her right knee was scraped and beginning to bruise where it had slammed into the stairs, throbbing with pain whenever she moved even slightly.
Her hair hung in disarray, several strands still tangled from being yanked so hard. Naomi wrapped her arms tightly around herself, as if she could somehow piece her body and courage back together after nearly being dragged away tonight.
“They… they found me,” she sobbed. “Why do they always find me?”
Liu sat in the front seat and turned slightly toward her. “You’re safe now.”
“I almost got taken… to their boss.” Naomi clutched herself tighter. “I can’t… I can’t go back to all of that…”
“You won’t.” Liu’s voice remained calm, though gentler than usual. He took out his phone and pressed a speed dial number. ” Mr. Miller, we have an emergency.”
The voice on the other end came low and cold. “Speak.”
“Three men came for Miss Naomi and tried to drag her away by force. I haven’t confirmed where they came from yet, but there’s a high chance they belong to Don Falcony.”
A brief silence followed.

“And her condition?”
“Minor injuries,” Liu said, glancing back at Naomi. “But severe shock.”
In the back seat, Naomi was still crying, trying to steady her breathing.
Cale’s voice came again, sharper this time. “Bring her to the hotel. Now.”
“Yes, sir.”
“Double the security. No one gets near her without my permission.”
“Understood.”
The line went dead. Liu put his phone away and looked over his shoulder. “Miss Naomi.”
Naomi lifted her face, eyes red and wet.
“We’re going to the hotel tonight.”
“I… don’t have a choice, do I?”
