Chapter 670
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The pounding on the apartment door felt like a hammer striking directly against Naomi’s chest. Her fingers trembled as she held the phone to her ear, waiting for the call to connect. But before anyone could answer, she heard the sound of metal being forced from the outside. The door hinges groaned loudly.
“Naomi! Open the door now!”
“I-I already called the police!” Naomi shouted back, though her voice cracked, and even she knew it was a weak lie.
A rough laugh came from outside. “Then tell them to pick you up downstairs.”
The next second, the door was shoved violently and burst halfway open. The safety chain held for a moment before snapping with a sharp metallic crack.
Naomi screamed and stumbled backward.
Three men stormed inside.
They were large, rough-faced, with the kind of eyes that made no effort to hide their intentions.
“Get out!” Naomi snatched up the small vase from the table and hurled it with all her strength. It struck one man in the shoulder and shattered into pieces.
“Bitch!” he snarled.
Naomi ran toward the kitchen, but someone was faster. A hand seized her arm from behind, fingers clamping hard around her wrist. She cried out and kicked wildly.
“Let me go! Let me go!”
“Stop moving!” another man barked as he grabbed her shoulder.
Naomi bit down hard on the hand trying to cover her mouth. The man cursed and jerked back instinctively. She bolted toward he door, but another hand yanked her by the hair so violently that her body lurched backward.
Tears sprang instantly to her eyes from the pain.
It hurt.
God, it hurt so much.
‘Let me go! Bastards! Let go!”
“The boss wants to talk,” said the largest of the men. His voice was heavy with warning as he kept her pinned, controlling every frantic movement she made.
“I don’t know your boss!” Naomi screamed hysterically. “Get out of my house!”
“Too bad,” he said coldly. “Our boss knows you.”
They gave her no room to fight anymore. Two men dragged her by both arms while the third cleared the way ahead. Naomi’s feet scraped helplessly across the floor. She struggled with everything she had, kicking at the doorframe, clawing at the hands gripping her, but there were too many of them. Three against one.
Her breathing came fast and shallow, panic crashing through her in relentless waves.
“Help! Help!” she screamed into the empty hallway.
No other tenants came out. Only tightly shut doors and dim lights flickering overhead.

The elevator was taking too long, so they hauled her toward the emergency stairs instead. Her knees slammed into the first step. Pain shot through her body, but more terrifying than that was the realization that no one was stopping them.
On the second floor, Naomi managed to wrench one hand free and clawed at one man’s face hard enough to draw blood.
“You crazy bitch!” he snarled, then slapped her across the face.
The world spun for a second. A sharp ringing filled her ears. She nearly collapsed if the other two men hadn’t kept dragging her downward.
The moment the lobby doors were shoved open, the cool night air struck her face. Naomi sobbed soundlessly, her body weak with fear.
Then the men suddenly stopped.
Standing in front of the main entrance was Liu.
