"Enough!" David snapped, still sounding unwilling to accept it. "Talking to you today will only make things worse!" He simply walked away, leaving Eli behind.

"David is like that when he's angry." Natalie sighed as though she felt sorry for her. "You shouldn't take what he says too much to heart. When I met him on the court, he had already gone to see you before I could say anything."

Eli fell silent.

"I think someone else said something to him about you and Josh. So... he got jealous." Natalie gently touched Eli's arm. "And all of that is because he's afraid of losing you."

"But he went too far." Eli's voice trembled. "I told him to stop, Natalie. But he didn't listen at all. Instead, he kept forcing himself on me."
