"Alright, if you keep crying, your eyes are going to hurt tomorrow." He looked up and waved at James and Emmy. "I am going to take your mother inside to put a warm towel over her eyes. You two stay out here and enjoy yourselves for a bit, but do not stay out too late before heading in to rest."

As soon as Andrew left, Laney had no desire to stick around. With exceptional tact, she waved her hand. "I am heading out too. You two keep the romance going."

"I had an ivy leaf carved into the inside of this ring. Other people cannot see it from the outside, but when you wear it, your fingertip can feel it." James lowered his eyes, his deep gaze locking onto her, burning as intensely as a fire. "Ivy means what I want to give you. Eternal protection, and never abandoning you. I want to give you a stable remainder of your life. I want to be the harbor you can rely on, where no matter how fierce the storm is outside, as long as you look back, I will always be right there."
