The sun blazed intensely outside the car, and even with the air conditioning, the heat of his gaze couldn't be ignored. Her heart raced under Dominic's watchful eyes, and he found her flushed cheeks amusing. He playfully pinched her cheek.

"Alright, I'll heed your advice. No snacking on people during daylight. Let's find something else to eat."

He averted his gaze and started the car. As they drove past a distinctively styled restaurant, Vespera suggested, "How about we eat here? It looks enticing."

A white car slowly approached behind them, its window rolled down to reveal Nancy's face. She had been tailing them from afar since they left the office, but lost track of them halfway and had been searching around ever since.

Just as she was about to head back, she unexpectedly spotted their car again. Seeing them exit the vehicle, with only the two of them present, filled her with resentment. Just as she suspected. So much for a business dinner! He was actually sneaking around with this temptress!

"Did you secretly add something to the soup, Vespera? I've only had a sip, but I'm feeling unusually warm..." he murmured before leaning in to gently kiss her. "I just wanted a kiss."

Vespera trembled and swallowed hard. Seeing that no one was nearby, she kissed him back. It felt like a spark had set off an explosion. Her body arched backward, feeling as though she had collided with a piece of burning marble. Her lips and tongue were immediately captured by his.

Outside, the sun blazed, summer cicadas chirped, and a warm southern breeze blew. The sweetness of their kiss made her heart flutter as if it were being teased repeatedly. A hint of moisture appeared in Vespera's eyes.
