Chained To The Billionaire Mafia novel Chapter 13

“You must be kidding me.”

Right, this is just a f*cking prank.

“No, someone left you in front of our house and we only adopted….”

“You don’t have to get this far if you want me to leave dad.” I cut him off.

“Jada look…”

“So that’s why?” I asked. I understand now.

“You may never tell me sooner but I always feel it day by day. I know every time I’m bullied and feel an outcast, something is off. Because no matter how bad I am, you should not treat me that way.” It’s almost a whisper but loud enough for them to hear. Shifting my gaze at Macy and Paris, I felt tears slowly flow down my cheeks. I told myself that they won’t see me cry but please be this day an exemption, the pain was too heavy to carry. I badly need a release.

I put my glance back at Dad.

“Thank you for adopting me.”

That’s all I uttered before I run out of his office, I didn’t bother to look at the staff who were staring at me. I put back my shades on and impatiently waited for the elevator. My hands were shaking as I push the button to the ground floor.

And when the elevator opens. I immediately run off just to bump into a big body built of a man. When I look at who was the owner of that body.

His piercing eyes coldly staring at me.

“So you’re really back huh.” He uttered as his lips formed a small curve.

“And so what? Get off me.” I warned him when his hands traveled to my shoulders.

“Come with me silently if you don’ want a scene here.” He whispered.

Why of all the situation, why now?

“I’m not in a mood Coleman.F*ck off.” I snarled, but still managing my calm face as the staff was staring at us already.

“I personally went here to tell your dad that I’ll take possession of you.”He whispered.

“Who do you think…”

I wasn’t able to finish my sentence when he carried me like a bag of sack at his back.

“Coleman!”

“Stop wasting both of our time.” He shot back before completely walking out of the building and going straight to his car.

“I’ll f*cking kill you!”

“My pleasure baby.”

“Where are we going?” I firmly asked when he put me on the passenger’s seat and locked the door, as he quickly drive away from Dad’s company.

I closed my eyes when I remembered his confession, and the breaking revelation, along with the thunder of pain that rush in through my veins.

“Stop the car, Coleman.” I menaced as I glanced at him sharply.

“I don’t take orders from women, or to anyone.” He coldly replied without even putting his gaze at me.

“What do you want huh! I said stop the car and leave me alone!” I exclaimed at the top of my lungs, but little did I know, across that outburst of mine were the tears that continously escapes from my eyes.

I felt the car stop.

“Stop crying woman.” His cold baritone voice breaks the silence.

I didn’t respond and look away instead.

“Where’s the fierce and feisty Jada I know? Bring her back whoever you are.”

My forehead automatically creased.

“Unlock the door, Coleman.” I firmly ordered.

But I can’t just lose my pride and ego on this man.

“Assh*le!” I roared and went out of his car immediately, but as long as the cold wind greeted me. I wanted to go back inside. I gulped and convince myself that this is the right choice, I can’t even trust that man, who knows where he’ll take me. I slammed the door and walk away with head heels high from his car.

The moment he roared his engine and heard his car drifting away, that’s when I look back at him just to see his Bugatti slowly fade in the darkness.

I bit my lip and shifted my walking pace into a faster one, that I almost run. I embraced myself and fight the fear amidst the deafening silence of darkness.

After a couple of minutes of walking, I quickly flinch when I heard my phone ring. F*ck I have a phone with me, why did I even not think of it.

I smiled to see Trinity calling, I immediately slide the screen to answer it.

“Trinity, damn you’re an angel…”

“Jada please listen.” She cut me off and I don’t know why her voice sent me an unexplainable agitation between us.

“Have you seen the news? Kendra was on the news Jada.” She added.

“W-what? W-why? Is she fine now? Did the police catch the kidnappers?” I continously asked.

As hope slowly lit up my dark world.

“N-no. Watch the live news now, Jada.” She lifelessly said, and I quickly opened my browser to search for the news network she mentioned, as my heart consistently hammered fast.

The moment the site loaded, I fell to my knees to see Kendra blindfolded, wounded, and has fresh blood scattered on her face and body.

“K-Kendra.”

Then the screen had a blackout and was quickly replaced by a man wearing a white creepy mask.

“I know you’re watching now since this is televised nationwide. We didn’t fail to inform you on what we need in exchange for your dearest friend.”

“And I am only giving you 24 hours to save your friend’s life, Miss Jada Turner.”
