Chained To The Billionaire Mafia novel Chapter 15

I quickly made a U-Turn when the kidnapper texted me the address. I forwarded the message to Trinity and left a note that they have to track this car and entered the place after 15 minutes I get there. I don’t want to put Kendra’s life at risk, but if I have to ask for their help, I don’t know what awaits me there. I’m not that stupid to obey his rules, I wasn’t born yesterday.

I checked the car’s compartment and smiled to see a gun inside.

After checking the time, I maximize my speed. I only have an hour to get there. As I get closer to the place, I can’t help but be nervous. I don’t know what they need from me.

As long as I arrived at the place, I roamed my eyes to see no one. Is this the right place? The address was right. I hide the gun on my boots so I could easily grab it, I was trained twice using guns, so this won’t be that hard for me. I just need to be brave and save my friend Kendra, Trinity and the Cops will arrive in 15 minutes.

I cursed to see that I only have 10 minutes left given. Finally entering the gate that slightly opened, I carefully delve inside. My forehead creased, it’s like an empty compound. Followed by my tripled heartbeats, what if this isn’t the place? I don’t have time anymore.

I set aside that thought and keeps on investigating the area. My jaw almost drop to see a body tied, floating above me.

“K-Kendra.”

The blood was dripping down from her body that sent terror to me.

“K-Kendra, wake up. I’ll save you.”

“J-Jada?”

Hope fills me when she speaks, she’s alive.

“H-hey, don’t worry we’ll leave this place together huh!” I exclaimed and didn’t’ waste any more time and looked for the tie that is connected to her body so I could pull her down.

“What are my rules, Jada?”A baritone familiar voice echoed in the whole area. But I couldn’t see where it was coming, it was like a speaker was installed in the different corners of the compound.

I was stunned when I heard the serene of the Cops. F*ck it, I told them to be not too obvious when they get here.

“You have to be taught a lesson.”

My eyes widened when I notice a small red light blinking, a bomb.

“N-no!”

I wasn’t able to breathe, it feels like my world stopped to recognize what it was.

“Say goodbye to your friend Jada.”

Those words were followed by a loud explosion leaving me in thunderbolt. Is this for real?

“K-Kendra!”

Tears consistently drips down my cheeks as the ashes fell down.

This isn’t happening, right? This is just a f*cking dream!

“I hope you learned your lesson now Jada.”

“When I mean don’t break the rules, I mean it.”

“I warned you already.”

After hearing those words, a couple of explosions has been heard as the buildings of the compound that surrounds me fell apart but I don’t care anymore, my eyes were all stuck in the ashes. My heart was tearing into pieces as those ashes separately fell.

I wasn’t able to save her.

“K-Kendra…”

“I-I’m sorry.” I fell onto my knees.

“Jada!”

“Jada let’s go!” It’s Trinity’s voice but I didn’t bother to move.

“I-I wasn’t able to save her.” My voice breaks.

“L-let me die here, Trinity.”

“You should have just killed me instead!”

The pain was too unbearable that I can feel my knees slowly weakening. I watch Trinity and the cops quickly run towards me.

But they move aside. A familiar tall man showed up in a distance.

Coleman? What is he doing here?

The only thing I felt was his hands on me as he carries me gently.

“P-put me down.” It’s almost a whisper but I think he heard it.

“Don’t be a stubborn woman. I warned you already, but you never listen.”

I can’t find the strength to talk back. It feels like I was too drained and in deep misery for Kendra’s loss. But at the same time, my mind was battling to kill those monsters who mercilessly killed her.

“I know what’s running on your mind right now woman.”

“And you can’t do it now so pull yourself together and give justice to your friend.”

He doesn’t know a thing, he speaks like it was too easy to lose a friend. And Kendra’s not just a friend to me, she’s my family.

“I don’t want to go with you.” My voice was too low, I wanted to punch him but my body was too tired to do that, still shocked for everything that happened a couple of minutes ago. My eyes were shut but I can still hear everything.

“Mr.Coleman, we need Miss Jada Turner’s testimony.” I heard the Cop say.

“No, she’s still in shock right now, can't you see it?”

“I’ll bring her to you once she can think right.”

“But for now, she’ll stay with me.”

"Don't worry she's safe with me, I'll never allow anyone to hurt her."
