Fanny met her sharp gaze, a hint of confusion in her eyes. "What's wrong, Ruby?"

A slender, pale finger tapped a spot on the map. "While your logic is sound, you're forgetting one thing. Factory workers aren't like most people online, constantly following the latest news. Domingo could be standing right in front of them, and they might not recognize his face or know anything about the scandal he's involved in."

Ruby's tone was heavy. If her theory was correct, the search area would expand dramatically, making their task exponentially more difficult. Her words made Fanny's expression darken as well. She looked at the spot Ruby was pointing to—the junction between the production floor and the shipping area. Ruby was right; that was also a distinct possibility.

"In that case, finding them quickly is going to be nearly impossible," Fanny said, acknowledging how tricky the situation had become.

Ruby pursed her lips, thinking for a moment before deciding on a two-pronged approach. "Fanny, the management office is still a strong possibility, so go ahead with the drone surveillance as planned."

"As planned?" Fanny repeated. "Does that mean you have another idea?"

Ruby nodded. "Right now, I can only think of two other options. One, we plant someone inside the factory to investigate. If Domingo is working alongside the regular laborers, our person will eventually run into him. Two, we could grab one of the workers for questioning. It would be faster, but it's riskier and might yield nothing." She looked from Fanny to Hayley. "Do either of you have a better idea?"

Fanny and Hayley exchanged a look, both appearing stumped. "No," Fanny said, shaking her head.

"Let's go with your first option. It seems safer," Hayley declared. Fanny nodded in agreement. "I think that's the better choice, too."

Ruby twisted her fingers, lost in thought. "So now we just need to find someone to infiltrate the factory. Any ideas?"

"Hayley and I are out," Fanny said after a moment's consideration. "Hanley might show up for an inspection, and he's seen both of us before. But we can't trust a random person with this."
