**Chapter 431 Meet Me**
**MINA**
With a firm shove, I pushed him away, my eyes narrowing into a fierce glare.
He merely chuckled, an infuriating smile spreading across his face as he stepped closer, his fingers deftly tucking a stray lock of hair behind my ear. “So, you really do make the expressions I’ve imagined,” he said, his voice dripping with mischief.
I clicked my tongue in annoyance, crossing my arms defiantly over my chest. “If you keep talking like that, I swear I’ll put my hood back on,” I warned, trying to sound more serious than I felt.
Elias raised both hands in mock surrender, a playful smirk dancing on his lips. “Alright, alright. My apologies,” he replied, his tone theatrical. “How would the princess prefer to be addressed? With the utmost loyalty and regality of a devoted guard?” He exaggerated his words in a comically posh accent that made me roll my eyes.
“Elias,” I said, my voice low and warning.
His smirk only widened, a glint of mischief in his eyes. “I adore the way you say my name. Please, say it again.”
“Elias!” I exclaimed, this time my tone laced with disdain, but even I could hear the hint of amusement in my voice.
He threw his head back, laughter erupting from him, and I couldn’t help but notice how much more attractive he appeared when joy radiated from him like sunlight. I shook my head, trying to dismiss the thought as quickly as it had come. He was nothing but a thorn in my side, after all.
Gradually, his laughter faded, and the lighthearted atmosphere shifted into something more serious. Elias took a deep breath, his shoulders rising as he settled into a more contemplative expression. When he looked back at me, the playful spark in his eyes had dimmed, replaced by something far more sincere.
“So,” he said, his voice dropping to a hushed tone, “can I kiss you?”
I froze, caught off guard. The humor had vanished, leaving only the weight of his earnest gaze.
I bit my lip, shaking my head firmly. “No.”
His eyebrows shot up, surprise etched across his features. “Why not?”
“We’ve already kissed before,” I reminded him, my heart racing at the memory.
Just then, he leaned in a fraction closer, the air between us thickening with tension.
“Yeah,” he murmured, his voice almost a whisper.
“You stole my first kiss,” I declared, the words slipping from my mouth before I could stop them.
He stilled, his expression shifting into one of genuine shock. “I’m your first kiss?” he asked, his voice dropping even lower, disbelief coloring his tone.
I sighed, bracing myself for the inevitable chaos that would follow.
Sure enough, his entire demeanor brightened, as if I had just handed him the greatest gift. He lifted a hand to his lips, pressing his fingers against them, grinning so widely that it felt like his face might break from the sheer force of his joy.
“What are you thinking about?” I demanded, suspicion creeping into my voice.
“Nothing,” he replied far too quickly, his eyes darting away. “Nothing at all.”
He was definitely hiding something, and I rolled my eyes, pushing past the warmth creeping up my cheeks. “Anyway… I only want to kiss someone who truly loves me. Someone I can love back.”
“Hmm,” he mused, his gaze dropping as if deep in thought. “But we’ve already done so many things together.”
I paused, confusion knitting my brows together. “…What?”
He tilted his head, pretending to ponder deeply. “You even held onto my penis.”
My frown deepened, irritation bubbling to the surface. “I was just helping you.”
He gasped dramatically, clutching his chest as if I had dealt him a mortal blow. “Ouch! You really are cold. Freezing. Polar frostbite, even. After everything we’ve done, you’re acting like this?” he accused, his tone teasing.
“Elias.”
“I can’t feel my heart,” he continued, his voice dripping with mock despair. “It’s frozen. Solid ice. I might die.”
“Good,” I shot back, unable to suppress a smirk.
“You would mourn me,” he insisted, his eyes wide with faux tragedy.
“I wouldn’t.”
