Gwen swept Tiffany a glance as she walked past. "It's a family vacation. Why would you go?"

Tiffany grumbled, "Why doesn't my boyfriend think of taking me on a vacation?"

Melody blinked in surprise. "You and Jason are together?"

This made Tiffany even sadder. "No… He hasn't even replied to my messages for three days."

Melody wasn't too concerned at first because Jason often ignored his phone when he got busy. However, she soon received a call from the police station that very afternoon.

Apparently, Jason had been detained and needed someone to bail him out.

Melody and Tiffany were both alarmed, and they didn't even waste time asking questions. Instead, they hurriedly got changed and left for the police station.

When they reached the elevators, however, they caught sight of Jeremy and Krystal mid-argument. Meanwhile, Caleb and Harold were trying to get them to calm down.

As they got closer, it became clear that they were arguing about a patient's case.

Harold sighed. "Mel, come here quickly. These two are at it again, and it's giving me a headache."

Harold was smart. He knew that Melody could talk Jeremy down.

This was the hospital, after all, and even if they were arguing about a patient's case, it still wasn't a good look.

Sure enough, Jeremy stopped the moment he heard Melody's name.

He raised his eyes and looked at her. His usually calm eyes were currently stormy with emotions.

Right then, the elevator arrived.

Melody looked at Jeremy and slowly said, "I didn't come here to mediate things. I was just passing by. And it's true that I don't know anything, so I won't involve myself in your discussion either."

After a pause, she added, "After all, it has nothing to do with me."

Everyone there thought that Melody was angry, but she really wasn't. She was just feeling anxious and desperately wanted to get to the police station to find out what had happened with Jason.

Melody didn't have many people who were close to her, so any one who was, mattered deeply to her.

To her surprise, however, when she got to the police station, she found Felicia there too. Other than Felicia, Andrew and another man she didn't recognize were there too.

Andrew took one look at Melody and sighed. "Mel, your friends really crossed the line this time. I can't believe they dared to sneak into Celestial Group's warehouse to try and steal something."
