Staring at the birds flying around freely out of the window made Monique envious.

‘I wish I could fly!’

“Young lady, we’ve arrived.” The driver interrupted Monique’s imagination.

The Marriott International building looked extremely grand. Standing in front of the building made Monique feel tiny.

Her face paled subconsciously, and her cold sweat formed on her forehead.

Mixed feelings glittered in her black eyes when the thought of her standing in front of Henry for a negotiation struck her mind.

She took a deep breath and marched to the hall of the Marriott International.

However, she changed her direction of approach as though something struck her mind and she headed to the underground parking lot of the Marriott International. That was her first time appearing in the company since her photos were circulated.

Previously, everyone in the company thought she had a flirtatious relationship with the chairman. With the circulating pictures, everyone in the company would be gossiping now.

Monique was wondering who would take those pictures and frame her? Who would bear such a deep grudge against her?

It was already noon when Monique arrived at Marriott International and most of the workers had already left, except for a few who stayed back.

Monique intended to avoid everyone, so she took the pathway that had the least people.

Suddenly, she heard someone gossiping.

“That woman in the planning department didn’t come to work!”

“Which woman? That Monique Xander?”

“Yeah. I just don’t get it. Everyone was thinking of all sorts of methods to get close to such a handsome man like the chairman and failed, yet that woman cheated on him!!”

“The chairman ordered that no one should discuss that. Are you trying to lose your job?!”

“I’m just saying. By the way, have you heard that Amelia from the planning department was arrested? I heard that she was arrested for breaching privacy.”

Step by step, she walked into the office and sank into a sofa.

There was a document in front of the sofa. To her understanding, Henry seldom placed his documents anywhere but his office desk.

Monique was anxious thinking about the negotiation she was going to have with Henry soon. She had no idea how she was going to handle it.

Monique’s mind was in a mess as she flipped through the documents on the table.

Monique’s eyes widened in astonishment when she saw her picture when she opened up the document.

She could not help but flip through. It was a full set of documents containing information of herself that Henry had looked up. Monique knew that Henry had previously investigated her background, but she never had thought it would be so detailed.

She flipped to the last page and saw a DNA testimonial report.

She was stunned. Her eyes widened. On the report, it clearly stated ‘Henry Moore and Angel Xander are father and daughter.’
