Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 518

In the end, Louise was left with no choice but to go back home. Monique was being persistent.

Monique managed to get herself a cab.

“To the Marriott International!” Monique told the driver, then gazed at the scenery out of the window, daydreaming.

Monique was thinking about the kindergarten that Simon started on and did not wish for the kindergarten to vanish because of her.

Moreover, she could not bear to see Simon imprisoned because of her.

Ever since her grandfather passed, Simon was the only person aside from her uncle that treated her well.

No, Simon treated her better than her uncle.

Monique had always thought of Simon as her family.

Therefore, she had the obligation to head over to Henry and plead for Simon.

The moment she saw the photos with Simon and her circulated in the company’s group, she could already make out the reason behind Henry’s rage.

Henry treated Monique as a mistress and those pictures had drastically emasculated Henry. It led to him feeling disgusted and nearly choke her to death.

Monique was thinking to herself when her handphone suddenly rang. Initially, she thought it was from Henry when she quickly picked up the call. “Hello.”

Back in Moore Manor, Mrs. Lawson had thought of all sorts of ideas to keep Angel company for the entire morning and it was time for Mrs. Lawson’s to start preparing lunch in the kitchen. Angel headed back to her bedroom, carrying a Dora doll.

It was a gift to her from her mother.

Angel missed her mother very much despite still being slightly mad at her.

Angel could no longer hold back as she picked up her handphone and called her mother.

After a few seconds of silence, Angel voiced out, “Mommy!”

Angel’s big, teary eyes on her delicate face were near tears. She really missed her mother and her father seemed to be extremely busy.

“Mommy, I miss you,” Angel muttered.

Monique’s vision blurred as tears filled her eyes. Thinking back to how Henry treated her two days ago utterly devastated her.

Henry’s disdainful expression was as though a sharp knife had dragged Monique straight down to hell from heaven.

Monique was upset. She shut herself from the entire world, not willing to face anyone.

Monique did not wish Angel to see her in such a terrible state. Adding the day where she passed out, it had already been a few days since they last saw each other.

“Mommy also misses you.” Once again, Monique reassured Angel that she would be back once she settled her business.

Monique felt rather lost after hanging up, she was out of her wits thinking of how she should face Henry in the future.
