The ringtone of the handphone was heard once again. Henry tapped the ashes from the cigarette into an ashtray. He picked up the handphone, glared at the incoming call on the screen, and switched off the handphone.

Henry knew Monique's intention for calling. She wanted to plead for Simon. 'She's so persistent.'

Henry frowned as he put on a cold expression.

Did Henry not treat Monique well enough?

Henry had treated her very well, yet Monique kept challenging his limits.

Logan felt his scalp tingle; his hands were shaking. Nevertheless, Henry continued glaring at him.

Logan, who was still curious, thought it best to be on the safe side. He quickly put on a smile, "It's alright if you don't feel like saying. Just forget I asked. Hehehe!"

Logan smiled awkwardly, immediately dragging at his cigarette to resolve the awkwardness.

However, Henry suddenly spoke, "She wanted to plead for her childhood sweetheart!"

Despite the short statement Henry just made, Logan sensed a hidden message from it.

That Monique Xander had a childhood sweetheart and even had a thing with him which made Henry jealous. As a result, Henry sent that childhood sweetheart to jail.

Therefore, that woman was coming to beg Henry to let that man go.

Henry's handsome face wore a dark expression; he stared at Logan's black eyes, which had a piercing cold stare. "Is he being detained at the police station?"

In just only a brief moment, amazement gleamed in Logan's eyes.

Logan continued, "Did you plan everything?"

"Well, I guess so." Henry nodded his head.

Logan got the main concept of the entire incident. 'Henry had Monique's childhood sweetheart detained in the police station, and now she was trying to plead for her childhood sweetheart. However, the more times she called and expressed her persistence and care for that guy, the more Henry got jealous.'

"Do you happen to like that woman?" Logan said without thinking twice.

Henry shifted his cold gaze, like an ice blade, to Logan at those words.
