Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 301

Monique nodded her head vigorously, "Understood, Mrs. Lawson, you better get some rest too."

Mrs. Lawson felt that Monique would be distracted by her presence. She nodded her head while staring at Monique with a gentle expression and said , "Then please go to bed once you finish your meal." Mrs. Lawson reminded Monique once again.

It sounded like she was nagging, but to Monique, it was more of a blessing.

After Mrs. Lawson made her leave, Monique obediently brought her food to the front of her computer and started eating. The temperature of the food was just nice. It was neither too hot nor too cold, but Monique's eyes reddened as she ate.

After she was done eating, she could not help but look at the information on the monitor once again. Her proposal was almost half completed and it should be done by the next day.

Jacob mentioned that the proposal was not needed in a hurry, which was why Monique decided to do it the next day.

Monique placed her bowl aside and started beaming through the data. Her hand was navigating the mouse but she felt as though the mouse was being held down by some weight. She exerted more force to shift the mouse to click on the saving icon, but the screen went blank.

'What happened?'

Monique lowered her head with her brows frowning, as she started panicking. When Monique placed her bowl on top of the mouse, she forcefully pulled the mouse. Then, the food in the bowl splattered onto Henry's computer.

Monique nervously picked up the bowl, took some tissue paper beside her and started wiping the computer dry.

'Oh Monique, are you out of your mind?'

She kept swearing at herself while wiping the computer. At the same time, she kept thinking about what she should do next.

Her proposal script was gone and most importantly, Henry's computer was spoiled as well.

Monique choked as she said, "Mrs. Lawson, why am I so stupid, I don't know anything, and I'm clumsy. I even destroyed the computer."

After all that effort of rushing her work the whole night, everything just vanished in a split second. To top that off, the computer was wrecked as well. She did not know how she should explain it to Henry and she wondered what punishment he would give her.

Monique began to feel agitated the more she thought about it.

Mrs. Lawson was stunned as her eyes beamed at the monitor, and found remaining stains that were still on the computer. She quickly pulled off the wires that were connected to the computer and patted Monique's shoulder, "Don't be too upset, tomorrow, I will call someone over to fix the computer."

Monique was still shaking, "Henry will surely be mad at me."

Seeing Monique's pitiful expression, Mrs. Lawson realized just how much Monique cared for the Young Master, which led her to be so terrified of him. Mrs. Lawson could not hold back but burst into laughter, "Just sincerely apologize to Young Master and he will be just fine."
