Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 173

Henry Moore was happy to hear Angel’s voice. “I’m working. What’s the matter? Miss me?”

Angel pouted and said, “Yes, I miss you.” She was still debating if she should tell the truth. Would Daddy really kick them out?

‘But Mommy’s been gone for so long and she isn’t answering her phone,’ Angel thought.

“Come home soon then. Where’s your mom?” Henry asked.

“Mommy… Mommy…” Angel hesitated. “Daddy, promise you won’t get mad?”

The words elicited a response from Henry. Did something happen to that woman?

“Okay, go on.”

“Mommy went for a matchmade date this morning. She’s still out,” Angel said timidly.

“What?” Anger coursed through his veins and he hung up the phone. He walked out of his office and growled. “Shaun!”

The feral growl sounded as if it came from the pits of hell.

Shaun threw down his work at hand and grabbed his phone before rushing to Henry’s side.

The chiseled face of Henry Moore was contorted into an expression of cold ange. The veins on his forehead clearly stood out. The tension in the man’s body was palpable and the fires of hell burned in his eyes.

Shaun felt a shiver run down his spine. Who angered Chairman Moore?

He had never seen the chairman this mad.

Should he prepare a coffin?

Shaun did not want to get on the chairman’s bad side. He would do anything the man ordered.

Mrs. Zackery was aware of Monique Xander’s circumstances, but she figured it was a shot worth taking as her nephew was neither young nor rich. Perhaps the woman and her daughter would make a good addition to the family.

She did not mention the daughter to her nephew. She planned to tell him after they had gone on a few dates.

Mrs. Zackery was not expecting a public humiliation by the Xander family. Her nephew told her Monique attended the date in pajamas and even laughed at him.

The man shouted angrily, “I want that woman to come out and apologize!”

Siobhan frowned. “I thought Monique was still on the date. She hasn’t come home.” Did Yvonne go overboard with her plan?

Hearing the commotion outside, Yvonne walked out of her bedroom. She felt much better after witnessing Monique being splashed with coffee before she left the cafe.

Zephyrus spotted his daughter and called out, “Where’s Monique?”
