When Her Death Couldn't Break Him (Cecilia and Nathaniel) novel Chapter 2293

Julian came up behind Miranda and wrapped his arms around her.

Miranda let out a long breath. "We made it all the way here, but my son has to stay in Tudela all by himself."

"How would he be alone? His grandpa and his dad are both still in Tudela. Stop worrying about him." Julian tried to soothe her.

Miranda turned and punched him in the chest.

"Of course you're not worried. He's not your son."

The second Julian heard that, he scooped her up in his arms.

"Then have a son for me too."

Holding Miranda, he carried her toward the bedroom.

Miranda hit at him with a smile. "I'm not having one for you."

The two of them laughed and teased each other, completely unaware that they were already being watched.

Inside the Bar.

Inside, Adrian drank one glass after another.

The guys around him, his cronies, tried to talk him down. "Adrian, there's no need to get worked up over that kind of woman. We've got money. What kind of woman can't we get?"

Easy for them to say, but Adrian still couldn't swallow this down.

Ever since Nathaniel beat him up, he had been living carefully and keeping himself in line. When it came to Miranda, he had done whatever she said.

And what did she do instead?

She actually dared to betray him.

"How am I worse than that Julian? I seriously don't get it."

Adrian threw back another glass of wine.

Right then, one of his friends hurried over.

"Adrian, I found out where your woman is."

Adrian shot to his feet.

"You did? Where is she? Once I find her, I swear I won't let either of them off easy." He bit out every word.

His friend immediately gave him the address, then added, "Adrian, I busted my ass over this one. Don't forget your brother here."

Adrian nodded.

"Don't worry. I'm not the kind of person who forgets a favor."

He memorized the address, then staggered out.

As soon as he got outside, the driver hurried over to meet him.
