When Her Death Couldn't Break Him (Cecilia and Nathaniel) novel Chapter 2274

In the video, Jon drove a kick straight into Felix's backside.

Felix went down hard and hit the floor.

"Done watching? Ceci, your son is really something. He's this young, and he can already go that hard at his own cousin. He kicked him that hard. You don't have anything to say for yourself?"

"Oh, right." Miranda sounded like she'd just remembered something, then added, "Felix also said Jon threatened him. He told Felix he wasn't allowed to tell us parents that he'd been bullied by him."

Cecilia listened to all of it, then looked at the all-too-clear video in front of her.

There was nothing she could say back.

"For this, I apologize to you and to Felix. I'm sorry."

After saying that, she turned to Daniel again.

"Daniel, please call Jon and Felix in. I want Jon to apologize to Felix in person."

Across from her, Miranda just stared, caught off guard.

She'd been sure Cecilia wasn't going to apologize.

She hadn't expected Cecilia to do it on her own before she even pushed for it.

It wasn't long before Daniel called the two boys over.

Jonathan caught sight of the video and more or less pieced together what had happened.

Before any of the adults could speak, he looked at Felix and said,

"Felix, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have kicked you last time. I apologize."

Felix froze for a second, then backed up several steps.

"I-It's okay," he said on instinct.

"What do you mean, it's okay?" Behind him, Miranda's voice shot up. "He hit you. He even threatened you. And now one little sorry is supposed to brush all that away?"

Felix actually wanted to say that kick hadn't hurt that much that day.

Besides, he'd started it by picking on someone else first.

But Miranda was standing right there in front of him, fierce and pressing.

He didn't dare say it.

Off to the side, Daniel couldn't hold back anymore.

"Ms. Miranda, weren't you the one who asked me to call Jon's mother over so they could apologize to Felix together? Why is it suddenly not okay now?"

At that moment, Felix walked behind him and lifted his foot.

Not far away, Nathaniel was just about to speak up and stop Felix.

Right then, Felix lowered his foot instead of kicking.

He turned to Miranda. "Mom, let's just forget it. This is enough."

A second ago, when he had been about to kick Jonathan, Jonathan had looked over at him once. That one look had broken cold sweat out all over him, and he hadn't dared move another inch.

Felix knew exactly what would happen if he kicked Jonathan now. It wouldn't take long before the consequences came back on him hard.

He truly didn't dare bully Jonathan.

Miranda just stared at him. "What nonsense are you talking about?"

Such a perfect chance, and he was actually going to give it up?

Miranda ground her teeth. "Go on. Hurry up. Don't make me mad."

But Felix stayed rooted where he was, stubbornly refusing to take a single step forward.

Miranda had calculated everything except this. With her standing right there, her own son still didn't dare kick Jonathan even once. In her eyes, that was pure weakness.
