When Her Death Couldn't Break Him (Cecilia and Nathaniel) novel Chapter 2152

Having failed to get the bodyguard to avenge him, Felix returned to the classroom in a huff.

"Just you wait. When I go home, I'll tell my grandfather to stop your company from getting listed!" he declared while glaring at Dante.

At the mention of his family's company, Dante's determined expression faltered. He couldn't help but feel worried.

After all, he was just a kid, so Felix could only physically hurt him, but he couldn't say the same for his family's company.

If his parents found out about it, they would definitely blame him.

Dante's earlier defiance slowly faded, and he was about to yield when Jonathan spoke up. "Felix, what else can you do besides threatening people?"

Felix looked at Jonathan in surprise.

"I... I..." he stammered, unable to speak.

Jonathan's cold gaze settled on his face. "You'd better stop playing tricks if you want to study in this class."

Felix seemed like a mouse cornered by a cat. Lowering his head, he said, "Jon, this is between me and Dante. You should stay out of it."

"Dante and I are good friends. I saw everything, so I must interfere," Jonathan replied.

Felix flushed. "Jon, you and I are relatives, but he's a nobody!"

"Relatives?" Jonathan curved his lips into a sneer. "We are rivals in the Rainsworth family. You were even thinking of inheriting my father's fortune after he died."

"What?" Felix panicked at the mention of that last part.

At the time, he didn't know Nathaniel had children, which was why he said he wanted to inherit his fortune.

"Jon, I was only joking back then," Felix explained.

"There's always a grain of truth in a joke. I won't let my guard down just because you say it's a joke," Jonathan said deliberately.

Teasing Felix was like teasing a kid younger than himself.
