When Her Death Couldn't Break Him (Cecilia and Nathaniel) novel Chapter 2107

"I'm glad you finally realized that," Alan said.

Eric didn't want to talk to them anymore, so he left the car and headed toward his room.

Ines wanted to chase after him to explain things, but Alan stopped her. "Let him think it over alone. As parents, we can't make decisions for him his whole life."

A sense of loss appeared in Ines' eyes, and she nodded stiffly. "Eric is so outstanding. Why won't he find a good girl, get married, and start a family?"

"I wish I hadn't let him enter the acting industry." Alan had always looked down on the acting profession. "Wouldn't it be better to be a doctor like me and find a woman in the same industry?"

The two of them couldn't understand the mindset of young people, so they could only let Eric be.

Eric stayed in his room by himself. He took out his phone, thinking of contacting Cecilia, but soon put it away.

After sitting in a trance until the sky began to darken, he couldn't stand it anymore and finally called Cecilia.

Meanwhile, Cecilia and Nathaniel were strolling down Long Avenue in Drocver.

They had been there a few times before, but never had time to wander.

It was rare for them to be outside with nothing urgent to deal with, so Cecilia suggested that they walk around.

At that moment, her phone rang.

Nathaniel looked over and saw Cecilia unlocking her phone. Eric's name appeared on the screen.

Frowning, he said, "Answer it quickly. Let's see what he wants to say."

Nathaniel was more impatient than Cecilia.

Cecilia tapped on the answer button, thinking of seizing the opportunity to clarify things with Eric.

Eric understood everything then. His throat felt tight. "All right, I got it. Don't worry; such a misunderstanding won't happen again."

"Good. Then, if there's nothing else, I'll hang up now," Cecilia replied.

Just as she was about to end the call, Eric couldn't control himself anymore and said, "Wait a moment! Cecilia! I don't want to hide my true feelings anymore. Cecilia, I like you. I know this will make things difficult for you, but don't worry—I don't need you to accept me."

Eric's Adam's apple bobbed, and he continued, "I just want to tell you that I like you, and I've always remembered how you helped me back when we were abroad. Without you, there would be no me. So, no matter how you think of me in the future, I will always regard you as the most important person in my life."

With that, he hung up first.

Cecilia stood frozen in place.

Nathaniel stood in front of her, looking down at her with an unreadable emotion in his eyes.

My wife's too attractive. And she attracts the best kind of admirers: Calvin, and now Eric...
