Time-Limited Love: A Contract Expired, Not Renewed novel Chapter 110

With that, she strode toward the row of employee elevators and stopped in front of them.

“You go ahead and get back to work. I can manage upstairs on my own.”

“Yes, ma’am. I’ll get back to it, then.”

As the receptionist left, the employees waiting for the elevator with Noelle couldn’t help but steal glances at her, curiosity flickering in their eyes.

They’d clearly heard the receptionist address her as “ma’am.”

Rumors had been swirling throughout the company lately—whispers of the CEO’s secret marriage. And if the receptionist had called her “ma’am,” that could only mean one thing: this must be the CEO’s wife.

Unbelievable.

They were about to share an elevator with the CEO’s wife.

As soon as the doors slid open, everyone instinctively stepped aside, leaving Noelle a clear path.

“After you, ma’am.”

Hearing herself addressed so deferentially, a look of satisfaction spread across Noelle’s face. She lifted her chin ever so slightly, exuding an air of subtle pride and superiority.

Noelle stepped into the elevator, and the others followed, quickly crowding around her, eager to ingratiate themselves.

Their fawning attention stroked Noelle’s vanity to no end.

“So, how did you all find out Landon was married?” Noelle asked, her tone casual but her eyes sharp.

“A few days ago, word started spreading from the executive office,” piped up a young woman with her hair neatly tied in a bun. “The CEO hasn’t come right out and said anything, but if the rumor’s out, it must mean he’s okay with it.”

“The CEO must be head over heels for you, ma’am,” the young woman added with a saccharine smile. “He probably wants the whole world to know you’re married.”

Noelle’s smile faltered, her expression cooling ever so slightly. For a moment, a flicker of annoyance flashed in her eyes.
