Waller looked thoroughly humiliated.
If anyone else had spoken to him like that, he would have slammed the table and cursed them out, but with Naylor, he didn't dare.
After all, this was the man he was desperately trying to kiss up to.
So, Waller let out an awkward, groveling laugh and tried to explain. "There's been a misunderstanding. It's actually very difficult for me, but deep down, I favor Katrina. She's been outstanding since she was little, perfect in every way. I always knew she was destined for great things."
"You just said she had zero class," Naylor pointed out dryly.
Waller choked on his words.
Seeing her absolute excuse for a father turn red from Naylor's humiliation surprisingly lifted Katrina's spirits.
Knowing there was no chance Waller was going to hand over the Equity Transfer Agreement, she couldn't be bothered to waste any more time. She grabbed her bag and stood up. "I need to get back to the hospital. I'm leaving."
Naylor's expression instantly turned cold.
Waller jumped up. "Katrina! You haven't finished talking with Naylor, what's the rush... Katrina? Katrina!"
No matter how much he called after her, Katrina walked out without a backward glance.
The private room was left with only the two men.
Looking incredibly awkward, Waller turned back to Naylor.
Naylor stood up and said coldly, "I know exactly why you're sucking up to me. If you can break up her wedding with that fake expat, I might consider giving you what you want."
Waller was ecstatic. "Done! Naylor, don't worry, leave it to me!"
