The Villainess Needs a Hug (Ivy Windsor) novel Chapter 983

Katrina glared at him with icy eyes but stayed silent.

Naylor let out another laugh. "What's with that look?"

"I should be asking you that. What are you playing at, following me around?" Katrina snapped back as she finally found her voice.

"Following you? That's hilarious. Last I checked, you don't own shares in this store. Can't a guy buy some clothes?"

"..." Katrina glared at him, puffing her cheeks in anger.

"Since you're just sitting around, go pick out a suit for me. Consider it a breakup gift," Naylor teased again, his tone playful.

But Katrina took him seriously.

She turned to stare at him, her brow furrowed, and asked earnestly, "If I buy it for you, will you accept the breakup?"

"Yes," Naylor answered decisively.

He had thought it through. Since she had found a suitable partner, he really had no right to keep stringing her along.

After all, a woman's youth was fleeting, and he had absolutely no intention of getting married.

Letting her go early so she could find the right guy was practically a good deed on his part.

Hearing his promise, Katrina hesitated for a second before deciding to trust him. She immediately got up and walked over to the display racks.

"What kind of clothes are you looking for? Sportswear, casual, or business?" Katrina asked, glancing back at him.

Naylor sat comfortably in the lounge area, sipping tea with his legs crossed, looking as relaxed as could be. "Whatever. I'll wear whatever you buy me."

Those words struck a nerve in Katrina.

Because in the past, when they had come here for clothes, that exact same conversation had happened word for word.

Katrina knew he was messing with her, but knowing Julian would be out any minute, she needed to wrap this up and get rid of Naylor fast. Swallowing her anger, she patiently started looking for a suit that would fit him.

But she brought over three or four different options, and Naylor shook his head at every single one.

She began to suspect he wasn't even looking at the clothes, because his eyes had been glued to her the entire time.

By the time the fifth suit was rejected, Katrina's patience had worn thin, and she was on the verge of blowing up.

But before she could say a word, Julian walked out of the fitting room in his new suit.

Katrina took one look and was extremely impressed!

Perhaps thanks to over a decade of living abroad, Julian carried a very refined, gentlemanly aura that made him look phenomenal in a sharp suit.

Especially this three-piece suit—it looked incredibly tailored and gave him a vibrant, polished edge. It was perfect.

The sales associate rushed over, launching into an explanation of the fabric and showering him with compliments.
