The Villainess Needs a Hug (Ivy Windsor) novel Chapter 982

With that, she grabbed Julian's arm and pulled him away.

Naylor stared fixedly at her hand gripping another man, unable to believe she had the nerve to hook up with some random guy right in front of him.

He was so furious his breathing hitched, driving him to the brink of madness.

But Katrina ignored him, leading Julian straight toward the elevators.

She was doing it on purpose!

Since there was no future with Naylor, it was better to let him misunderstand completely. If it made him give up and walk away, that was far better than remaining tangled in a toxic cycle of mutual torture.

But Naylor was too stubborn to back down.

One look at his rival, and his male intuition told him the guy was bad news.

He looked like a player who was even wilder than Naylor himself.

And if a playboy like that was trying to wash his hands of his past and settle down, there had to be some dark, unspeakable secret behind it!

So Naylor only paused for a second before his expression hardened, and he spun around to quickly follow them.

The elevator doors slid open just as Katrina and Julian stepped inside.

Right as the doors were about to close, Naylor shoved his way in, nearly crashing into the metal panels.

Katrina jumped in fright. When she turned and saw him, she gasped, "What are you doing!"

Naylor shot her a sideways glance and said coolly, "What's it to you? Do you own the elevator?"

"..." Katrina knew he was starting to act unreasonable again.

But she figured he would just leave once they reached the ground floor, so she swallowed her frustration and kept quiet.

Julian silently observed the two of them, having already pieced together their relationship.

Judging purely by appearances and first impressions, he thought this man was actually a good match for Katrina.

But if Katrina's mom disapproved of him, there had to be something seriously wrong with the guy.

Men were naturally competitive. Since this guy had already marked him as a rival and started silently flexing his dominance, Julian knew he had to step up and crush him on every front.

With that in mind, Julian spoke up. "Katrina, I didn't pack much when I flew back, so I'm a bit short on clothes. Would you mind taking me to a nice mall so I can buy a couple of suits?"

Katrina's heart skipped a beat.

They had just met, and he wanted her to go shopping with him?

And he was asking this right in front of Naylor?

Was he just trying to stir up trouble?

Katrina glanced at him. Seeing his earnest, almost humble expression, she found it impossible to say no.

"There's a department store near the hospital with some high-end menswear. You can check it out," she replied politely, not daring to look at Naylor's face.
