The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback novel Chapter 1159

Many tourists flocked to the area to take photos. Couples held up their phones, snapping selfies and sharing kisses against the backdrop of the setting sun, their faces glowing with sheer happiness.

Perhaps because Max's striking looks and commanding presence were too conspicuous, quite a few people cast curious glances in their direction. It was admittedly odd to see a couple just sitting there in absolute silence, not even bothering to take a single photo.

As the sky gradually darkened, Max stood up. "Alright, let's go." He took Felicia's hand and led her away.

That evening, Max moved all his luggage into Felicia's room. When Felicia stepped out of the bathroom, she stopped and stared at him. Max offered no elaborate explanation. He simply hung his clothes in the wardrobe and said, "Tomorrow morning, we are heading downtown. Since we are here, I will take you around properly. We can also pick up some gifts for Anne and the others."

Felicia said nothing. She went to bed early. Max sat on the sofa, opening his laptop to handle some remote work. Once he was finished, he closed the laptop and glanced toward the large bed. He walked over, slowly sitting on the edge of the mattress to gaze at her peaceful, sleeping face. He watched her for an indeterminate amount of time before finally rising to head to the bathroom. After getting ready for bed, he lifted the covers and slid in beside her. Slipping one arm under her head and wrapping the other around her waist, he rested his chin gently on the top of her head, closed his eyes, and drifted into sleep.

The next day, Max checked them out of the hotel and brought Felicia into the city. After stepping out of the car in the city center, his assistant drove ahead to handle their new hotel arrangements.

Their first stop was St. Hallgrim's Cathedral, where they picked up a generous amount of souvenirs. By the afternoon, they found themselves at Lake Tjornin. The trees lining the lake were painted in brilliant shades of gold. Felicia wore a sleek black cashmere coat and a chic square hat adorned with a pristine white camellia. The gentle breeze playfully tossed the stray strands of hair escaping her hat, adding a touch of liveliness to her elegant demeanor. Her skin seemed to glow softly under the clear sunlight.

Standing by the lakeside, she looked toward the lens. Max held up his phone, snapping several photos of her. Satisfied, he walked over and handed the phone to her. Felicia took it and scrolled through the gallery. She had to admit, his photography skills and sense of composition were incredibly professional.

"They look great," Max said, leaning in close, his eyes dropping to the screen.
