He gestured to the subordinate colleagues standing beside him.

Jeremy simply nodded in acknowledgment.

"I wonder if you have some time to discuss the upcoming investment partnership in Norway, Mr. Milman?" Simon asked respectfully. Norway was one of the target regions for their joint overseas investment project, and Simon had been stationed there for nearly a month conducting on-site surveys and research.

Jeremy glanced at Felicia. "Why do you not head back to your room first, Felicia?" Fortunately, they had just finished their meal.

Felicia offered a soft hum of agreement. "Alright." She rose from the table and walked away.

Simon tracked Felicia's retreating figure with wide eyes. When he had first spotted her, he genuinely believed his eyes were playing tricks on him. Felicia was Mr. Hawthorne's wife. Why on earth was she here in Iceland, clearly on a romantic vacation with Jeremy? But upon closer inspection, it was unmistakably her. Was she having an affair? Yet, when she looked at him, there was not a trace of panic in her expression. It was as if she did not recognize him at all.

"Simon," Jeremy said sharply.

Simon snapped out of his daze and focused on Jeremy. He had desperately wanted to interrogate him, but Jeremy's commanding presence left him no opening. The two men immediately shifted into a professional discussion. After talking business for about half an hour, Jeremy stood up and took his leave.

"Was that Evelynn just now?" one of Simon's colleagues whispered. Everyone at BlueMarble Investments knew the name Evelynn was synonymous with Felicia. She was the former chubby secretary who supposedly tried to use a pregnancy to manipulate her way into Max's bed, only to be utterly despised by him and forced to resign. The entire company believed there was zero chance their paths would ever cross again. A man like Mr. Hawthorne could not be coerced, and everyone agreed Felicia was wholly mismatched for him. But against all odds, Max had publicly acknowledged his relationship with her, revealing they were secretly married. It proved her scheming was far superior to that of an ordinary woman to successfully snare someone like him. But now, here she was, openly cavorting with Jeremy. This was nothing short of blatant infidelity.

"If that was not Felicia, who else could it be?" Simon scoffed. "I never realized she was this capable. I suppose turning beautiful means every man is willing to bow at her feet."
