The Impossible Divorce novel Chapter 4

Sophia raised her hand and covered her ears forcefully. She could no longer stay any longer and ran downstairs as if she had escaped.

It was just that the sound was too loud. Even though she was hiding in the kitchen, the sound continued to drill into her mind, causing her to feel uneasy and uncomfortable.

Sophia leaned the glass platform, and her fingers forcefully grabbed the ice-cold stone tightly.

She wanted to run away.

A thought suddenly flashed through her mind. It was like a wildfire that instantly engulfed Sophia's rationality.

With a pale face, she quickly walked towards the door.

Leave this place and never come back...

As she walked closer and closer to the door, Sophia stretched out her hand and placed her finger on the smooth and cold metal door.

As long as she exerted a little strength, she would be able to open the door and escape.

However, Sophia was unable to use that little bit of strength.

She had ever run away before. Brady had taken all the cash and documents from her. She had no anything, so she couldn't survive outside. Even if she could temporarily live in a friend's house, what about her younger brother?

Brady was still holding her younger brother Edwin's life in his hand.

Sophia closed her eyes in despair, her heart filled with helplessness, as if she had fallen into an abyss. Her body was constantly falling, but she could not grasp the slightest bit of something to rely on.

She couldn't escape, couldn't resist, and could only endure.

What was the point of living such a marriage and life?

No, she can't do that.

She and Brady had to divorce.

Sophia took a deep breath and tried her best to calm herself down. Then, she sat on the sofa and covered her ears to pretend that she did not hear the disgusting voice upstairs.

This torment finally ended in an hour.

Sophia heaved a sigh of relief and put down her hand that was covering her ears.

After half an hour of silence upstairs, there was finally a light sound of the door opening and Brady came out.

He changed into a clean and tidy shirt and calmly descended the revolving stairs. His expression was relaxed, faintly carrying a bit of dazzling pleasure.

Unlike when he was with Sophia in the past, when they were together, this man had always been gloomy and cold. When would he be so happy and relaxed?

Sophia's fingers on her knees couldn't help but tighten. She felt as if her heart had been forcefully grabbed by someone, causing her to suffocate.

Brady took a few steps through the living room and walked in front of Sophia. His expression was indifferent, "Chloe will stay here in the future. Take good care of her."

Sophia frowned. What did he think she was?

Was she a humble servant?

Sophia raised her head and looked at Brady with a calm gaze. "Brady, since you already have another woman, why don't we divorce? As long as we divorce, you can stay with whoever you like."

Brady lowered his eyes. The depths of his eyes were as dark as the sea, making it hard to know the idea in his heart.

"Sophia, I already said that if you want to divorce me, wait for the next life. You will never leave this place in this life."

Sophia's heart ached even more, but her face was pale and calmer. She looked at Brady firmly and said, "Brady, you're betraying. If you don't agree to a peaceful divorce with me, then we'll see each other in court."

It had been a long time since Sophia had revealed her sharpness in front of Brady, like that wild cat from before.

However, there was not a single word that Brady wanted to hear from her.

He bent down slightly and once again forcefully pinch Sophia's chin. His fingers did not restrain their strength, as if they wanted this strength to warn this ignorant woman.

"Alright, Sophia," He said, "Exactly. Let's settle the things that your mother killed my parents, you divulged my company's secrets. We'll settle these together in the court. I wonder what The Allen Family will repay to me when the time comes!"

Seeing her like this, Brady felt his heart being stabbed fiercely. It was painful and itchy.

He stood a step away from Sophia, and his thin lips tightening tightly as he forcefully suppressed the gentle words.

The room was silent until it was interrupted by a woman's voice.

"Brady, I'm hungry. Let's go out to eat."

Chloe stepped on her high heels and came downstairs, breaking the suffocating pressure in the room. She intimately held Brady's arm and spoke in a soft and spoiled tone.

"Let's go eat together and buy me something. If I move here, I'll have to replace all the things in the bedroom. Those things are dirty."

Brady's voice was somewhat hoarse and expressionless. "Indeed, it's very dirty. It should be changed."

Chloe replied with a smile. Her eyes turned and her smile was filled with spite. "But I saw that there was only one bedroom. So, I move here, what about this woman?"

Brady coldly looked at Sophia and sneered, "There is a hovel downstairs. She will stay there in the future."

Chloe smiled and stared into Sophia's eyes with a complex meaning, "Then you will be wronged. Oh right, I'll go out with Brady later. Please tidy up the bedroom upstairs. When we get back, I hope the room is clean."

All these words, they were all talking about Sophia being dirty.

Sophia raised her eyes to look at her and retorted with a smile, "The things I used are indeed very dirty, but the person who used the things I used is even dirtier."

She had used not only the bedroom upstairs, but also the man Chloe was holding.

Brady's eyes darkened as he stared at Sophia. This woman was so bold that she actually dared to think him dirty?

Chloe was stunned for a moment. After reacting, the young lady's temper immediately was uncontrolled. She rushed over and pointed at Sophia's face, "What do you mean?"

Sophia coldly looked at the anxious Chloe and said, "Literally."

"How dare you call me dirty?" Chloe's face twisted in anger. Instantly, her anger rose. She raised her hand and fiercely slapped it towards Sophia's face...
